I am intrigued by the news that Eureka is definitely coming back for a fourth season but maybe not for a year. (By the way that video contains some spoilers, especially one in particular, for series three, as does my thought here, along with a minor character spoiler for True Blood series two )

Also very amused to read that the Comic-con announcement of Eureka being picked up for a fourth season was done during a panel, by senior vice president of SyFy (seriously, it even hurts to type that name change) Mark Stern calling Colin Ferguson (who plays Jack) in Bulgaria to tell him. And then the crowd sang Ferguson 'Happy Birthday'. From San Diego to Bulgaria.

Sci-fi fans, you are made of win. Never stop being so utterly fabulous.

Haven't done anything since getting back from work, because I'm not really sure where to start. Can't do washing until the woman gets home and sorts her clothes out the machine. Need to call the tax office on my mother's insistence, only I'm not really sure why and was going to ask... except she's still not home. I could get a headstart on my application for the grad scheme I guess. I think that's my problem; I feel like I *should* be doing that but I have three weeks and want to do other things right now, which just ends in me sitting herefeeling guilty with *nothing* getting done. Argh.

Alright. Clean the hamster out. That's a start.

Looks like I can't get hold of Good News Week this week. Not amused at all, universe. Gr.

Oh dear. I think I've ruined series three of Eureka for myself. woeful big spoilers through series three of A Town Called Eureka (Eureka if you're American) )

Also, wanted to point out that if you've been intrigued by my rambling love for this adorable little quirky show (it's definitely worth watching; if Grey's Anatomy is my catharsis then Eureka is my happy place, full of giggles and fantastic characters and the world almost ending every week), right now play.com has the first series for £5.99 which is GIVING it away. Seriously. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Right. Back to Stark in deliciously tight trousers...

(I still need to make Eureka icons, dammit.)

Edit: Oh and I know I mentioned recs yesterday, but I was doing my tried-'n-tested method of reccing which is to put them in my memories (related topic; I also found an epic Star Trek XI recs post last week which is memorised under Fic Recs: Star Trek XI and is definitely worth a look-through). Everything on that list is worth a read. I don't rec uncanon character death except in exceptional circumstances (if I mention Freedom's Just Another Word For Nothing Left to Lose here again, I'm going to have to buy shares in it or something) and sorry, it is pretty much all Jack/Nathan because I have a one-track mind.

I'm rather intrigued by this fandom though, in that at least half (maybe slightly more?) of the fics I came across yesterday were 'established relationship'. Now if a relationship isn't canon and especially if it's slash while the character is protrayed as canonically heterosexual, I'm not such a big fan of having something already established because really, it just seems... a bit lazy? It also throws me because I love the how of getting characters together in slash, all the subtly different ways slashers can finagle it into happening believably. But everything in my memories is worth reading. There were probably a couple more worth a read but I was too harsh on the 'established relationship' aspect to memory them, but they're easy enough to find anyway.

I'm a little sad at how few recs a lot of my fandoms have. Anyone has any fic recs for me, ever, don't hesitate to point them out! I tend to read mostly via recs, so more is always awesome.

Okay. NOW back to Stark in deliciously tight trousers...

How do you know you've been reading Stargate: Atlantis fic for too long? When you spot a Eureka fic with a title like Transdimensional Equilibrium and actually SQUEAK with joy.

SQUEAK. I am not kidding. Jesus. I've always been pretty bad at coming up with titles, so I've never particularly held bad ones against anyone else but... clearly I have a thing for the long pretty words. Wow.

I haven't even read the damn fic yet, so this isn't a rec. But hopefully with that title it will be, soon.

(I have yet to move off the sofa to shower or get dressed today. On the other hand I've read lots of delicious Eureka slash and I'm enjoying the beautiful day through the window. It's lovely. :D

I need Eureka icons.)
