I am intrigued by the news that Eureka is definitely coming back for a fourth season but maybe not for a year. (By the way that video contains some spoilers, especially one in particular, for series three, as does

So when I heard Ed Quinn was cast in True Blood, my first thought was "Okay now I really have to watch this show" and my second was "Oh bummer, now there's no chance of him being resurrected on Eureka."

Except tor.com just dropped the (delightful?) bombshell on me that his character gets explodinated after three episodes which is like, oh! okay! That was quick. And the follow-up casting news is that he's heading to some new show called 'The Beautiful Life' starting to air in October, but all that's been confirmed right now is that he's 'sticking around for several episodes'.

So as of right now, he'd totally be free for a next-summer shooting schedule on Eureka...

It won't happen. This is my utterly wishful thinking but... Eureka isn't the same without his snarky goodness glowering away at his desk and his sparking off Jack in a similar way to how Daniel and Jack were on SG-1 in the early seasons. I'd love Allison to get another love interest and then them to bring Nathan back. I'd love them to bring Nathan back with a catch, like he's slightly out of phase with time and people can walk through him (Jack would *love* that) or they bring him back when he doesn't want them to (you ever notice how Buffy has already done *every single storyline already*?) or they bring him back and he gets locked up by the DoD as an experiment. There're so many ways they could make it interesting. I'd love for them to write a killer story arc for him to persuade him to come back.

Go on universe. Make me happy next year, when I'll hopefully be working my butt off in a grad scheme. ...Pretty please? He is extremely pretty in a suit so you know, it's not like the world wouldn't benefit. ^_^

Also very amused to read that the Comic-con announcement of Eureka being picked up for a fourth season was done during a panel, by senior vice president of SyFy (seriously, it even hurts to type that name change) Mark Stern calling Colin Ferguson (who plays Jack) in Bulgaria to tell him. And then the crowd sang Ferguson 'Happy Birthday'. From San Diego to Bulgaria.

Sci-fi fans, you are made of win. Never stop being so utterly fabulous.

Haven't done anything since getting back from work, because I'm not really sure where to start. Can't do washing until the woman gets home and sorts her clothes out the machine. Need to call the tax office on my mother's insistence, only I'm not really sure why and was going to ask... except she's still not home. I could get a headstart on my application for the grad scheme I guess. I think that's my problem; I feel like I *should* be doing that but I have three weeks and want to do other things right now, which just ends in me sitting herefeeling guilty with *nothing* getting done. Argh.

Alright. Clean the hamster out. That's a start.

Looks like I can't get hold of Good News Week this week. Not amused at all, universe. Gr.
