1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 3 sentences on your blog along with these instructions.
5. Don’t you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest.
"I'd had a fantastic time on my last afternoon in the city, when I'd returned to the hotel for a rest but ended up wandering down the high street. I'd seen it was crowded and that there was something going on and I wanted to explore.
Wandering through crowds can be a bit awkward for me, not because I get swamped but just because it makes me feel very self-conscious."
Ewan McGregor writing in his and Charley Boorman's book Long Way Round: Chasing Shadows Across the World, absolutely fantastic book and one everyone should read. It was such an incredible idea, going round the world on motorbikes and that they actually *did* it and all the people they met, it's just a huge inspiration to everyone. (Plus Ewan McGregor comes across as the loveliest person and it's sweet. :) ) It lives on the shelf above my computer in case I need to grab it to reference something. Just be glad my hand didn't fall on my 'Concise Dictionary of Literary Terms' instead. ;)
Cold has eased into slight stuffiness which hopefully will go completely over the next day or so. For all I was blaming the demon child on the bus, it turns out my auntie's had a cold all week and I saw her a few days ago, so. Somewhat diffused my wrath, though I'll have more wrath if it lasts for a *week*. Aagain I say; who catches a cold in *August*?!
I've been awake twenty minutes and somehow I've acquired a hamster to look after for the weekend. That apparently bites everyone.
This'll be... interesting.
