I know, I know, I snow-picspammed you only a few days ago but today I walked down the canal to the estuary and it was so pretty.

Looking back towards the hill I took the last lot of pictures from.

The canal was frozen over and covered in a layer of slush. There were duck footprints all over it and in some places, pawprints. I think the foxes have been using it a risky shortcut.

So far this year these walking boots have climbed New Zealand mountains, walked on New Zealand beaches, climbed on Uluru, walked over the Australian outback, waded through mud in the grounds of a Buddhist temple and now, tramped all over British snow. They're doing pretty well.

The clouds closed in as we got to the estuary and I had time to get dripping wet taking pictures before we hid in the pub with hot chocolate for a bit. By the time we came out, it was blue sky and so pretty:

This swan stalked me until I ran away. I'm only small and they can break a man's arm you know. Haven't you seen Hot Fuzz?

Don't worry, it's warming up in the next few days (they're predicting 8C for Christmas Day *facepalm*) so I'll have to do proper posts instead of picspams. Alas! I have enjoyed our beautiful almost-Christmas snow. :D
I still need a snow/Xmas icon. Damn.
