I found a quote a week or so back now that I wanted to share but I just found the comment where
angstslashhope said it was okay so I'm sharing now. :) Because people *always* ask me "Why slash?" and I never know what to say. This seemed to sum it up, just *exactly* what I want to say but never quite know how:
""it's like: you want to see what colour red and blue makes. so you get some red & blue paints, and you mix them together, and find that you get purple. slash isn't the purple, for me. slash is the paint."

Exactly. :) It's not the slash itself, it's what it does, what comes out of it. How beautiful a colour can you end up with is what matters.
