clo_again: (Andy/Roger - At Your Side)
I really should not be proud of myself that I've merely managed to write and email a 300 343shutup word review before 12pm, because that's *it*, that's *all* I've done, including getting dressed and having breakfast. Mmm, breakfast. I think I've also managed to melt my brain with around 15 episodes (out of twenty six, not so bad) of Ghost in the Shell:SGA watched over about twenty four hours but it's that good melt, where the goo that remains thinks it might have to go out and acquire some more anime when it manages to resolidify itself. Not that I need more things to take up my time but hey, why waste time? Procrastinate now!

Roger lost. I'm considering those words from all angles with detatched curiosity. Roger. Lost. I've realised that it actually *does* matter who he loses to though, since I was much more upset when he lost to Nalbandian. I like Tommy, even if he did butcher his ponytail in horrible ways and it'll be interesting to see Andy who wins this now but... Roger lost. He didn't even put up much of a fight from the look of the scores. Fascinating.

Also, yes, upsetting but hey, Andy won. If Andy's in the final now then I will kick Fate into next week for stealing our Roger-Andy final from us but right now, I'm lost in that comfortable detached state of boggling. Roger. Lost. Hhhmmm.

Where o' where has [livejournal.com profile] scoobydumblonde gone? :-/

Alright LiveJournal, since when did you decide to load pages with a swooshy, Star-Wars-esque sideways deal? Or have you always done it and I've just noticed? Huh.

This was originally meant to be a post to share my Shakespeare insult of the day from my desk calendar, "The most infectious pestilence upon thee!", because it was funny, but LJ distracted me with the swooshy.

Not that I'm easily distracted or any- ooo!! Shiny!

edit: In other distracted-by-shiny news, I just arbitrarily decided that I needed Farscape on DVD, needed it like I need a hole in the head, yes, but needed, now, this second. Severe Crichtonesque insanity withdrawal it seems. So I hopped merrily on over to Amazon to check on how much it would cost me if, hypothetically I was to buy it with-the-money-I-don't-have-right-now...

... and promptly died. £54!!! For season one which has been out years, what insane right do they have to charge money like that?! Oh it's good, don't get me wrong, it may be the best Sci-fi series - or just plain series actually - to ever grace my TV and distract me from math homework in high school but I can't afford that. JK Rowling with her castle in Scotland and private jet probably couldn't afford that. Sheesh. £40 fine, okay, yes, even maybe £45 but £54 is seriously pushing it. And that's not even the retail price; it's meant to be £100. Who in hell has £400+ to spend on all the DVD box sets?

I also just died abit more when I saw play.com was selling the first season for £79. 99. Oh god, seriously? Who has the money to spend on things like this?

'scuse me. Have to go away and be a little bit heartbroken that I will never afford Farscape on DVD now. Wow. Who do they think wants to *buy* these DVDs?

edit: Also, the swooshy stopped. Aw. It was kinda fun.

Alas sweet solitude, thus we are parted! (a.k.a. one of my flatmates came back today.) Hence my complete lack of doing anything tonight besides making her dinner -- because she is foodlesss until tomorrow *pets* -- and exchanging variations on "Hi! How was your Christmas!" Nice to not be completely on my lonesome but at the same time... lonesome was nice, lonesome was relaxing. Everyone else gets back Saturday we think though, so we're planning on chilling until then. :)

So, going to wash hair and chill and wonder some more about where [livejournal.com profile] scoobydumblonde's gone. :-/ One day maybe, two's unusual to say the least. I need phone numbers. I think in emergencies I can contact maybe... one Inmate. Which is terrible; I'm going to be kicking myself for it one day. Maybe we need a phone tree. *ponders*

And this after I just mocked my mother for getiting worried when I wasn't answering the phone in my room for two hours. Sigh.

Back later. With productivity, hopefully.

P.S. Also, pliz to the gods of our heating system, BLOODY FIX IT, I'M FREEZING. [no] love, Clo.
