Fic is doing very well but it's now 3:26am and I'm losing the ability to think, never mind type. I think I need to build slowly back up to 5am after a week of going to bed early. (Yes, 2am every night is early. Shutup. ^__~) So it'll most certainly be up tomorrow but right now I'm off to bed. *yawns*

And the intriguing question I leave you all with, is why does the Wimbledon trophy have a pineapple of all things on the top? We were trying to work it out earlier and couldn't, so the parental has challenged me to find out. Bet there's some completely boring and innocuous reason behind something so bizarre.

Well done Roger. You didn't have to be quite so spookily good about it, but you cried and that makes it okay. So long as you were the one who bought Andy that beer, because you owed him it after that.

Bed now. Mmmmmm, sleep. *uses her Wimbledon icon one last time before she changes it tomorrow*

Just checked my university email. 28th June, had one from my Creative Writing tutor saying cheerfully "You can now pick up your portfolios and marks from the departmental office! Please do!"

Um. Term ended officially June 24th and most people had even gone home days or weeks before that. She does realise that there's *no one* left in the university to actually go and physically pick the damn things up right?

My god. Just when I think my tutors can't do anything worse, they amaze me with their new heights of stupidity.

Also just realised that when the IT people said 'Make sure you've changed your password at least once!' they meant 'after May 25th 2005' and not in the entire year. Which means I may get locked out of the university systems...

... which considering I need to sign into them in three days to get my marks for this year? Yeah. Fun.

This is going to be one of those days, I can tell.

"An official welcome will be held in Roger's home town, Basel, tomorrow evening (Monday, 04.07.2005). He will be present at 18.30 local time on the market square in the centre of town to celebrate his phenomenal third victory in Wimbledon with all the fans present." - www.rogerfederer.com

Alright. Bets on them giving him another cow?

EDIT: http://today.reuters.co.uk/news/newsArticle.aspx?type=tennisNews&storyID=URI:urn:newsml:reuters.com:20050704:MTFH30229_2005-07-04_11-22-15_B690561:1: "In 2003, following his first Wimbledon win, a genuinely bewildered-looking Federer was presented with an 800 kgs milking cow named Juliet.

Last year he received an only slightly less cumbersome alphorn.

"With the cow, it was just a spur-of-the-minute thing, because we wanted to give him a present but it had to be something that he couldn't just buy himself," recalls Hermenjat.

"If he had decided to play here this year, we would have had to find something else to match the cow and the alphorn, so the pressure is off us a bit."

Aw. so it was Gstaad that gave him the cow and of course he's not playing this year. No cow for Roger this year. Bechod. *pets him*
