"An official welcome will be held in Roger's home town, Basel, tomorrow evening (Monday, 04.07.2005). He will be present at 18.30 local time on the market square in the centre of town to celebrate his phenomenal third victory in Wimbledon with all the fans present." - www.rogerfederer.com

Alright. Bets on them giving him another cow?

EDIT: http://today.reuters.co.uk/news/newsArticle.aspx?type=tennisNews&storyID=URI:urn:newsml:reuters.com:20050704:MTFH30229_2005-07-04_11-22-15_B690561:1: "In 2003, following his first Wimbledon win, a genuinely bewildered-looking Federer was presented with an 800 kgs milking cow named Juliet.

Last year he received an only slightly less cumbersome alphorn.

"With the cow, it was just a spur-of-the-minute thing, because we wanted to give him a present but it had to be something that he couldn't just buy himself," recalls Hermenjat.

"If he had decided to play here this year, we would have had to find something else to match the cow and the alphorn, so the pressure is off us a bit."

Aw. so it was Gstaad that gave him the cow and of course he's not playing this year. No cow for Roger this year. Bechod. *pets him*

*giggles* It is the perfect fairy tale - boy meets cow, boy falls in love with cow, boy... okay, possibly I'll leave that one alone now. Ahem. And of course, she did... Edelweiss I think I heard Roger called it. They must have taken her away from her bull friend to give to Roger!! Aawwww!!

I love it too. A cow just seems to mean so much more than a big fat cheque. And having visited Austria, I can vouch for how much that part of Europe adores their cows. Serious cow-worship goes on in those mountains.

But now I want them to give Venus a cow. Just to see her expression.
