Dazed and discombobulated.
Aug. 6th, 2010 12:30 amSomeone over on the
sherlockbbc_fic kinkmeme prompted "Fight Club AU! Sherlock is John's Tyler Durden." Which is an idea I will never be able to get out of my head and will probably bug me forever with equal parts admiration and utter distraction when watching Sherlock. Dammit.
It's been filled by the way. I'm weighing the relative pros and cons of actually reading.
(For the interested, the prompt fills are being linked here on delicious and I'm memory reccing any particularly interesting fic as I come across it. I'm only adding maybe one in four though; I've become ridiculously picky with fic these days so there's most likely perfectly acceptable stuff out there that I'm missing. Just search for 'Sherlock' as an interest and you'll get about ten or more comm results to choose from. Considering this show has had two episodes so far with just one more to come, it's kicked off insanely fast.
I could link to individual fic communities but there's about four or five right now and it's not worth rating one above another until the general fandom realises four or five comms for the same purpose is silly and gravitates towards one in particular. Which will happen, as it usually does with fandom but right now the comm-hopping to catch everything is a pain in the behind).

As you may be able to tell, I am not in fact dead. I'd just forgotten how much work destroys any hope of maintaining regular LJ posting or adequate sleep or any kind of thing that isn't work, really. I have a work notebook with four pages of things I keep meaning to make LJ posts about. I will get around to it. Preferably soon.
But now, I'm going to bed.
(In case you couldn't tell, I'm loving Sherlock. I wish there were more than three episodes. It's been so massively popular; please please please Mr Moffet and Benedict Cumberbatch, make more and preferably not only just three more episodes in a year's time. TV needs your shiny awesome.)
