Dec. 29th, 2009 11:37 amAm rather enjoying the Sherlock Holmes kink meme (I love the internet) and the cleverness of the person who decided to list all the comment fics on delicious.
Why do I get the feeling this will be a fandom that grows faster than the speed of light, hm? Maybe it's something about the way the slash is soclose to being canon (although I'm a little sad the clip they used in the trailer of Irene saying "They've been flirting like this for hours" seemed to have been cut) or the fact that RDJ and Jude Law are extremely sexy or... or maybe the internet is just awesome.
In case you couldn't tell, I went to see the movie yesterday and enjoyed it immensely. The plot wasn't particularly up to much - I was hoping for something tricky and clever so I could talk my dad into going to see it, since RDJ/Jude Law's love affair doesn't hold much appeal for him - but I really didn't care what the plot was doing. RDJ was marvellous. The boxing, ngh. Someone needs to clone that man and give us all one each.
Also, I realised about two-thirds of the way through why the guy playing Coward, Hans Matheson, was bugging me so much; he reminded me of Tommy Haas. See? Not all the time - I've seen him in The Tudors and I don't think I noticed him much, although now I think about it I might've picked up on the resemblence then - but the facial hair and hair cut in this just had me going I know him, what. Unfortunately I can't find a picture of Tommy with a manly stubble-mustache to back me up but it's there enough to weird me out a bit everytime Coward was onscreen.
Haha, that trip to IMDB to find Coward's actor just informed me that today is Jude Law's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUDE LAW. I HOPE YOU GET RDJ ALL WRAPPED UP AND DELIVERED TO YOU WITH A PRETTY BOW.

Other topics entirely: I want to do a my-year-in-pictures post before New Year but considering that I'm heading down to London tomorrow, I don't know if I'll have time. I'll try though. It's been an interesting year filled with much picture-taking.
But right now it's 11:30am and I should go get dressed because I have a massive stack of washing to do today and a bookcase to build later when the parentals finally get home. Sigh for the washing, yay for the bookcase! I'm now up to five. Oh dear.
