Oh Sam. You make me wish I'd bought the second series of Life on Mars for £20 in HMV, just because the extra £2 would save me waiting the week it'd take from play.com. Dammit. This is why I should watch things when they're on TV. See BSG; I'd have saved myself... okay, about £50, so I haven't exactly bankrupted myself but still. I want the second series now. *wail*
Coming back from town earlier, I stopped in the corner shop for chocolate (I didn't have any yesterday when I really needed it, so I'm compensating now with mini jaffa cakes and chocolate). Like always, there were groups of kids hanging around the wall outside and as I left one of them - one of these tiny freaking kids, who're like twelve - said "Hey there babe." And I kept walking for a second without really listening, until it registered and it was instantly "Ew! Freakish little jailbait, ew ew ew! You're like twelve. Ew!"
Did I mention ew? *Twelve*. Maybe *younger*. Alright, so I wasn't exactly dressed like a twenty-two year old in jeans and my Primark bargain hoodie but I didn't look twelve. Jesus. Welcome to my neighbourhood.
I can't watch the last episode of LoM's first series, because the last episode of Primeval's on in about five minutes and the way we have our TV/DVD player set up right now means you have to turn the Sky box off to watch DVDs. Which is yes, stupid, because you can't let something record off Sky while watching a DVD. Dumb. Apparently it'll be different when we connect the HD box this week but this is my dad and modern technology and already things are not looking good.
I can't believe I'm actually being all eh about watching the last episode of Primeval. I've been looking forward to it all week. But I'm pleased now, because I wouldn't have just seen an advert for Pterry's The Colour of Magic which is showing over Easter. Rincewind's not my favourite Discworld character (Granny Weatherwax ftw!) but it's Pterry on the box. I'll be bugging
kindoftrouble to watch that. ^___^
Primeval! Life on Mars! And a spag bol to fit in somewhere around that. Tonight is shaping up to be pretty good. Yay!
