Oh Sam. You make me wish I'd bought the second series of Life on Mars for £20 in HMV, just because the extra £2 would save me waiting the week it'd take from play.com. Dammit. This is why I should watch things when they're on TV. See BSG; I'd have saved myself... okay, about £50, so I haven't exactly bankrupted myself but still. I want the second series now. *wail*

Coming back from town earlier, I stopped in the corner shop for chocolate (I didn't have any yesterday when I really needed it, so I'm compensating now with mini jaffa cakes and chocolate). Like always, there were groups of kids hanging around the wall outside and as I left one of them - one of these tiny freaking kids, who're like twelve - said "Hey there babe." And I kept walking for a second without really listening, until it registered and it was instantly "Ew! Freakish little jailbait, ew ew ew! You're like twelve. Ew!"

Did I mention ew? *Twelve*. Maybe *younger*. Alright, so I wasn't exactly dressed like a twenty-two year old in jeans and my Primark bargain hoodie but I didn't look twelve. Jesus. Welcome to my neighbourhood.

I can't watch the last episode of LoM's first series, because the last episode of Primeval's on in about five minutes and the way we have our TV/DVD player set up right now means you have to turn the Sky box off to watch DVDs. Which is yes, stupid, because you can't let something record off Sky while watching a DVD. Dumb. Apparently it'll be different when we connect the HD box this week but this is my dad and modern technology and already things are not looking good.

I can't believe I'm actually being all eh about watching the last episode of Primeval. I've been looking forward to it all week. But I'm pleased now, because I wouldn't have just seen an advert for Pterry's The Colour of Magic which is showing over Easter. Rincewind's not my favourite Discworld character (Granny Weatherwax ftw!) but it's Pterry on the box. I'll be bugging [livejournal.com profile] kindoftrouble to watch that. ^___^

Primeval! Life on Mars! And a spag bol to fit in somewhere around that. Tonight is shaping up to be pretty good. Yay!

Terry Pratchett and I have just agreed to allow BPAL to do a set of Good Omens scents, the money to be divided between freedom of speech and orang utans. Terry also thinks the Agnes Nutter scent should have gunpowder in it...

... I am so doomed. Good bye money. It was nice having you but there are more important things in life. Especially if they do a Crowley scent, because awesome.

Or-- at least in rather soggy North Wales. It's almost as good, except I only have laptops to survive on for the next two weeks and they hate me with passion now I've gone over to the Dark desktop side of things. Especially the mousepads. Gr.

More worrying is discovering I left myself logged in on my LJ from dad's laptop for the last two weeks. Um. Hope he didn't check his history. Though, maybe I've overestimating his computer skills even considering that. I hope. He had recorded Hogfather though and we just watched the first part. It was awesome in a sort of "Pterry on my TV!" sort of way but I could see people who hadn't read the book being somewhat "WTF?" Especially at the super-long preview at the end giving the entire rest of the plot away; either Sky were very worried about part one or they've got stupider since I was last home. Hhmm. Probably the latter, if track records are anything to judge by (showing Buffy's tombstone? Sppoilers? What're those?)Regardless, I don't care either way. Pterry on my TV!! :D

Got the house to myself tomorrow. Thinking maybe a christmas shopping trip is in order but that does depend whether or not I can be bothered. That is the question.
