You know, I already own a Squall Leonhart action figure. He's my favourite action figure. Possibly my favourite piece of ridiculous merchandise that doesn't improve my life in any way other than looking pretty on my shelf.

But if this actually happens and isn't another Play.com 'whoops we'll keep putting the release date back forever' thing? I will so be picking up another Squall. Even though I'll probably never play Final Fantasy: Dissidia since I don't own a PS more advanced than the PS2 and have no plans to. I love Final Fantasy action figures; I'm still bitter I could never get the Advent Children version of Tifa, because it was pretty.

Sometimes I worry about the amount of money I'll spend on pretty plastic. Totally illogical but somehow it always makes perfect sense at the time.

I have no FFVIII icons. That's sad and should be fixed sometime. Not that this one doesn't suit just fine. :)

edit: Forbidden Planet also has it listed! Hurrah! Plus that's right after my birthday so I'll have birthday money. I love October. It's a good month.

Ngh. Do I have to go to work today? Really? -_- At least I'm wearing something with pockets today so I can carry my damn MP3 player around. They don't even have a radio on in the office and damn, I know they're on the phones but not even quietly? In the backround? For the sake of sanity?

However, my main worry? I have *no* room left on my DVD shelves. Actually less than that, because there's no room even with Farscape on the floor and my uncle having my three Star Wars DVDs. And the only other place in my room I could've put another DVD case... has a radiator in the way. Which I was actually *contemplating taking off* to give myself more room for DVDs.

Oh yeah, life sucks. ;-)

The sun must be rising at just the right angle to glow through my curtains this morning, because my room's all warm and purple-tinted. There's a sunbeam just catching Squall on my top shelf and casting a little Squall-shaped shadow. I really need to get a Rinoa to keep him company, since they haven't seen fit to make a Zell or Irvine figure (but they made Sephie. What?).

It freaks me out everytime I open it, which means I've started this entry about three times and ended up closing the window. Argh, LJ. If it ain't broke, don't 'fix' it.

What I was trying to say, before LJ went and confused me, was that I haven't stayed up until stupid-o-clock in the morning because I simply couldn't stop reading fic, for the longest time. And it was even in a pairing I never actually *got* before because seriously, Squall/Zell? I *laughed* at that back in the days when I could actually remember more than vague details from FFVIII's plot. Which by the way, is stupidly confusing and I wish someone would write it up as a novel so I could remind myself without having to buy a Playstation 2 to replay the damn game. (Do they do that? Because they should, for all the big games. I can complete Occarina of Time with my eyes closed now; it'd be nice to get to revisit it in a different format.)

Sidetracked. Yes. Meant to pimp out the seriously fun FF8 series I spent a good four or so hours reading last night. There's some serious pretty right there. Squall/Seifer, Squall/Zell, Zell/Seifer, Zell/Irvine, Irvine/seemingly everyone, if you have a favourite pairing it's probably in there somewhere and the writing isn't too shabby either. In fact, I only found it last night and I'm already into a second reading. Good times.

Dad dropped by a while ago to pick up clothes and stuff I want at home for Christmas, so I can just catch the train back whenever I feel like, probably Monday as it stands since the flat'll be pretty much empty by then. He'd been working up in Scotland and said it's mostly underwater by now, what with all the rain. And here I was figuring it was just Lancaster. He said the high winds yesterday were blowing trucks over on the M6 too; he'd passed some of them coming down. :-/

This weather is not natural. Really, really not. At least they reckon it's going colder at last, so some semblence of normality might be resumed by Christmas. I was meant to be going Christmas shopping today but I got soaked in the two minutes I was outside to wave Dad off; I'd come back dripping if I went to town. It's just impossible to do anything in weather like this.

And I'm *British*, so when even I think the weather's worse than usual? It must be bad.
