Yay Lee! Though dad reckons it was all filmed subliminally focusing on him and so the vote was a set up but still. Yay! Also even the woman commented on the fact that Lewis got a brief pat and Lee got the full-on hug from Keith. I would love to write Lee/Keith now because theysangsoprettyomg. Am off to eat cake and ruminate on it some more.

Haven't seen 'Who yet but the implosion of squee on my flst suggests it's good. I (after four attempts) managed to pick up my Advent Children DVD from the porters before I left today, so gotta watch that too. Many good things.

Have been home for three and a half hours but have yet to start sulking about it. This is a Good Sign. Probably.

edit: And Hot Fuzz has been dispatched. Which means it should be there for when I get back Thursday definitely. Yayness all round!

edit: Doctor Who was *awesome*. :D!!

Roger Federer Kidnapped Forced to Gain 100 lbs.

That's put me in a better mood after a five minute conversation with the 'rents reminded me of all the reasons why I don't want to go home tomorrow or ever, really. I'm genuinely contemplating what it'd be like if the Apocalypse happened before the end of term and we could all just stay in the blasted heath that would be Lancaster forever.

The internet connection would probably slow down some though. Details, details.

People should not write tennis articles entitled James May in Top Gear because it makes my fandoms all twisty. Can you tell I've been catching up on tennis news? Yeah. Speaking of which, Jonathan Ross is on in half an hour.

Totally don't want to go home tomorrow. Bah.

Random call from the parentals who are, unexpectedly, stuck in Florida for another twenty-four hours. Boo-hoo, sucks to be them. ;) But they wanted me to find a phone number for them, because they have friends coming to stay on Monday... and they won't be getting home until Monday. Only, after several fruitless internet site searches and spending £1 on directory-bloody-enquiries (who speak waaaaaay too fast, I think I made an idiot of myself trying to keep up) I got told they're ex-directory. So, this'll be entertaining. I did say they were dumb to have people coming to say the day after getting back from a holiday. Sigh.

One of these days I'll get to watch the Joseph result show without interruptions. Really I will (and I just realised that this time last week I was watching Hot Fuzz. The DVD cannot get here fast enough.)

edit: Dad just texted back to say thanks for trying. Aw. That's... unexpectedly sweet.

Random observation: You know, I'm genuinely starting to think His Webbyness is setting the Joseph competition up for Lee to win it now, by eliminating people likely to give him serious competition. Daniel last week and this week getting rid of Craig in favour of Ben who can't hold a note. That said, Lee sounded so beautiful singing with Josh Groban, I can totally understand why. I'd fix the competition too. Also, am I a bad person for wanting Lee/Josh slash now? They were singing to each other. I'm so glad I happened to be recording at that point.

I wrote stuff. No idea if it was any good or even answering the question half the time but eh. Done. Bizarre.

Parents called *from America* to ask how it went and I had wtfness. Crazy amounts of money when they could've just emailed.

I want this. And sleep. And food.

Am finished with uni (I think). This is... I mean, finished. Dude.

...

Hot Fuzz tomorrow! :D

LJ refusing to load flist... weird. Too tired for this LJ. Ggrr.

But just got back from seeing Propeller perfoming Twelfth Night and *damn* were they good. I already knew they were after seeing 'Shrew in the autumn but tonight just backed it up. Even my dad, who is the least Shakespeare-y, literary kind of person you'll meet and who sulked about being made to go and see it *all day* really enjoyed it. I love this theatre company. They're awesome. I'm only regretting not being able to see the two plays back to back (and see them again; I wish they'd sell DVDs of the performances. I know it's not as good but it's *something*.) I'm also not, in any way, still crushing crazily like a crazy thing on Simon Scardifield (the guy wearing a dress in the icon.) Nope. In no way at all. I was just happy he spent so much time on stage tonight and dropped his trousers at one point because he is a superb actor.

Which is an excellent excuse, because he is. ;)

In short: awesome. Maybe not quite as good as 'Shrew but our seats were uncomfortable and there was a... what's the politically correct way to say disabled these days? :-/ anyway, a girl who made a lot of noise, especially during the second half, so that might've contributed (will not rant on this point, because it is direly uncomfortable and a minefield of unpolitical correctness but there does reach a point when you have to consider the rest of the people in the audience and the actors too.) More annoying was the little boy humming in front of us, since he only had the excuse of being a bored little brat. If I hadn't had pretty men acting to distract me, I would've whacked him on the head with my shoe. Humming through a play! An amazing, funny, fantastic play! Peasant.

I love Propeller. I hope they keep together and keep doing stuff, so I can keep going to see them in future. Plus the 'rents liked it, so I can just get them to take me. ^_^ Shiny.

You ever get the urge to buy a DVD series you've never seen but have heard is good, just because you want to buy something utterly random for the sake of it? Yeah. Would anyone recommend Spaced? Because I'll be getting my loan through any day now and I want to buy something random.

This is in no way a reaction to buying Shaun of the Dead a week or so ago and remembering the awesome of Simon Pegg. It still cracks me up that he's a Dixons employee called Shaun. Because guess what my brother's called... and guess where he works? Or did, until recently.

Little things, little things. But yes. Spaced anyone? I think I remember [livejournal.com profile] hill2k mentioning it. Hm.

Word count: Still 1,159. Ssssshhh.

Teehee, evil!SG-1. I love that they were wearing black. Never one to go for the misdirection eh Stargate? So cute.

Brother called too; after the usual "Why are you calling me?" "I need a reason to call my little sister?" "Well you never do without one, so yeah" exchange and after I'd bragged up my getting Stargate series nine and atlantis series 2 on DVD for free - he called me a bitch. Asshole - he was asking when our term finishes and when could I go down for a week to cat-sit and generally take over their house. I said pretty much any time in early July before July 18th when we graduate but I just thought of Wimbledon and when it finishes and went o.O, because I don't want to be on a train to Cardiff when there're Wimbledon matches on.

That said, my brother has the biggest TV ever. Literally, it's like sixty inches or something (okay, that's a wild guess but it's *big*). Which means there's a good chance I'll get to watch the Wimbledon final on it, omgsquee. Watched a bit of Wimbledon on there last year and it looks fantastic. Though, their neighbours are kind of close so no yelling too loud.

Still, giant TV + Wimbledon + empty house = awesome. Besides, he said that going to cat-sit gets me brownie points and if I want to go down in the summer and stay there while I get a job, I'm more than welcome. Which is excellent, because it gives me an out from my parents. Also, *Cardiff*. Much love.

Now if I can just pass this year with a vaguely respectable degree... which means I should probably go do some reading now. Bribe myself with the promise of Cardiff and Wimbledon and Farscape-

- and yeah, I just had the lions and tigers and bears, oh my chant going to that. Grow up? What?

Uncle and his incredibly rude wife are visiting with their dog Onion. (I know. I bit my tongue.) Now it's a well known fact my mother isn't the greatest dog fan. She doesn't even let Casper on the sofas because she hates the hair. So when Incredibly Rude Wife encourages Onion up to sit, not even on her knee but on the actual sofa between them, well.

And then, knowing we had a cat somewhere in the house and for all she knew sitting right outside the lounge door, to say "Cat! Where's the cat Onion?!" I love dogs and Onion's adorable but I swear, if she chased Casper, *my* cat, in *my* house? Her paws would not touch the ground as I threw her out the door. With the woman I wouldn't call auntie if you paid me in solid gold coins right behind her.

I had to leave the room before I was inexcusably rude. This woman is a barnacle on the face of the planet. Getting eaten by piranhas would be too good for her.

edit: Um. Sorry about the rant. I was a little bit annoyed.

People. -_-

Mother: The world is ending! Friends are coming over any second and the napkins aren't ironed! *flail*
Me: *is sleeping*
Mother: *idea* HAH! Have indentured servant daughter to iron them for me! HEY YOU! Come and iron the napkins!!
Me: *is woken up* ... wtf?
Mother: Napkins! Iron!
Me: I don't even iron my clothes, that is the stupidest thing I've ever-
Mother: NAPKINS MUST BE IRONED. WORLD WILL END IN FIRE AND SULPHUR!!!eleventy-one!11!!!1! AND HORSEMEN AND HELLFIRE AND--
Me: o_O *irons napkins*

I feel dirty. I'm a student; ironing is against everything I believe in, sleeping all day, wearing the first clothes you find not in the 'dirty' pile, only washing things when you actually are on your last pair of knickers don'tquotemeonthat. Ironing napkins?! That are just going to get all crinkled and covered in food? That people probably won't even notice are neatly ironed at all?

Sometimes I think my mother is going senile. Right now? I *know* she is. My future house is going to be filled with cats and a dog and an iguana and possibly chipmunks; the most effort I'm probably going to make when I get visitors is to warn them as they come in to look where they sit in case they sit on a cat. I don't understand the obsession with having everything absolutely *perfect* for visitors; tidy up sure, make it look a little pretty but I'm sure real friends are there to see you and not the bathroom is took you two hours to scrub to perfection. They won't disown you if the Christmas cards aren't exactly in line either. Crikey.

In other, less-ranty news, IT'S STILL SNOWING. :D However it's going to turn to rain overnight. -_- I'm trying to convince the above crazed parentals to go for a walk in it later but I keep getting told that I'm the insane one. :( This is where I wish my f-list lived just around the corner, so we could have a midnight snowball fight.

Got an absolutely stunning card from [livejournal.com profile] eruantale today. *hugs* :D Thank you, it's beautiful.

Whee, snow! :D
