I couldn't decide what to do for this, and this is somewhat halfhearted because I really can't be bothered turning on the desktop to use the scanner, but...






Black Arabian mare. Pretty you might say, if you like horses (I do. I never grew out of the girly-horse thing). But why would I post this picture in particular, out of all the amazing pictures of horses out there?

Because this is the picture I'm currently mid-way through drawing (I apologise for the *appalling* quality; it's a pic off my phone because see above re. scanner. It's a lot less fuzzy in RL and takes up most of an A3 page):




A few weeks ago I remembered that I actually have a whole bunch of art stuff still lying around and if I put my mind to practising, I could probably make a passable artist. It's just making myself make the time to practise; this picture's been sitting around for about four weeks now so I've probably forgotten all the pencil techniques I was relearning again. Still, drawing is a whole different kind of soothing to anything else. I'd love to become properly good at it, so I'm definitely thinking I should make more time for it. This drawing is kind of the first thing I've done in years though, hence the not-quite-there-yet quality.





Now I have to turn off my internet for a while, because I've done nothing today and I really want to do *something*. I meant to accomplish a lot today and I really haven't. It sucks. Even though it's my fault. -_-

*blushes* Thank you. I keep seeing people on DeviantArt who're so amazing;it feels like I'll never be that good because it's hard to remember that they've been practising for years longer than me. It's nice to hear that I'm doing well though!

Thank you. :) I doodled horses a lot when I was in school so it's easier for me to draw horses than most things. Anyone can draw! It just such a long, tedious time to get to a point where it feels like you can.

*blushes* Thank you! I get disillusioned when I see pictures by people who've been drawing for years and are absolutely amazing, so it helps to hear that I'm not doing too badly!
