Was just innocently contemplating the possiblities of gathering all my favourite slash stories onto one cd when I glanced over at the T.V., saw it was the Council of Elrond scene and almost spat out my mouthful of drink. The possible backstories behind all the people there...... "He is Aragorn Son of Arathorn!" *thuds* I blame Merc for the fact I can no longer watch this movie with a straight face. At all. French and Saunders contributed but it was mostly Merc corrupting me. ^__^ The *slash!* Good grief.
Back to the other idea: I really should start collecting and storing all my fave slash stories in some sort of order. Then I'll put them all on cd to take to uni next year. Much simpler. But finding and sorting them all is going to be something of a chore. -_- I'll be stopping to read them all the time. ^__^
I need to work on my Jack characterisation. I think I'll attempt to finish the third part of S&H then rewrite next weekend or next week, whenever I finish, to get the 'voice' right before I post it anywhere other than Planet Helen. Pirates. Bastards.
Went to Borders earlier and was much tempted by the 'Benny and Joon' and 'Ed Wood' DVDs (for which I completely and utterly blame Falln. ^__~) Sadly I am BROKE, have no money, nada, zilch, and so was reduced to looking pitifully at them in case some kind rich stranger took pity on me and bought them for me. Needless to say didn't work. Must work on my pitiful act. Or marry rich millionaire. Or wait until the end of the month. *shrugs* So I came out of it with just two of my Classics books. 'Aeneid' (which is in no way as good as the Odyssey; bloody Roman propaganda) and 'Lysistrata' by Aristophanes which looks good. Dyskolos was like 10 pages long out an entire £7:99 book so I'm going to search for it online. Never found my Media text book. Am unwillingly going to try Amazon. Still no Edward Scissorhands DVD. -_-
Love, peace and jelly babies!
