My YHA pack didn't arrive again this morning. Since I can't get over $100 off my New Zealand bus tour without it - and I need it to travel on the Greyhound Australia since I booked the discount ticket - I'm starting to twitch. Yes I should've done this months ago. No, I didn't. If I hadn't taken my Rough Guide to read on the train to Lancaster a couple of weeks ago and it informed me of these magical discount cards, I probably wouldn't have done it in time at all.

Also I caved and bought the third season of Battlestar Galactica off Amazon Marketplace almost two weeks ago. It still hasn't turned up. I'm getting pissed off because even though I wasn't planning on watching it until I get back, I want the damn thing here before I go and there's no reason for it to take so long if it was dispatched within two days. I'll give them until tomorrow and then I start emailing my displeasure to one and all. It's taken me so long to finally buy the damn thing and then when I do...

I'm still trying to set my New Zealand flight dates. The prices vary bizarrely by date, apparently at random. It's looking like I might be stuck in Alice Springs a day longer than I wanted, something I'm trying to work around because hey, that's an extra day I could be in NZ or cheerfully harrassing Australia's LJers.

And out landlord is coming to paint the dining room in about an hour but I'm still in pajamas. Yeah. I should go do something about that. And answer comments. And emails. And book stuff. And not go stick my head in the sand by watching more Silent Witness (ever since I read that French and Saunders did a parody of it called 'Witless Silence' I keep typing it 'Silent Witless'. Which is probably a fair typo; I'm only watching it to see how close Harry and Nikki can get to kissing without actually kissing. Plus I named my laptop after Harry, so I feel I owe it to him to actually watch more of the show).

Or if I'm going to stick my head in the sand, I could play on The Sims. Ultimate head-sandage. My Sims keep aspiring to see ghosts, so I need to start killing off some expendables. Sweet and innocent little game that it is.

I just got it now because uh, I ended up playing on The Sims 2 all night. ^_^ I can catch the train at half ten to get there for 11:20 to shop a bit (I need to buy cupcakes for the mother for Mother's Day) and come see Watchmen with you if that's okay? I've never read the graphic novel but it looks good. :D And it finishes in time for me to get the 4:59 train back.

It is an excellent time! (3pm for example, is always both too early and too late to actually do anything with your evening/day. It's very frustrating!)
