There are no words for how much I want to do this. I may make this my main aim for New Zealand, because oh wow.

Except, now I just have to work out a way of getting there because it's right at the end of the south island. I wonder if I could fly into Auckland, travel down by bus and fly out of Christchurch? My Rough Guide keeps saying it's totally possible for not much more than a return flight. Clearly I'll have to hit the flight sites some more. I just found a spot-on bus ticket for me though and okay it'a dawning on me that I'm going to be real well acquainted with my new overdraft by the end of this trip but... it's going to be worth it. I can't look back and think "I wish I'd done that in NZ."

I need to get either a YHA or a VIP Backpackers card. I kind of want the YHA one because it's a little cheaper but I don't know if it's as useful. And I could really do with getting it tonight because it could take up to 14 working days to get here and you know, I don't know if I have that many days left.

...Yes I should've planned this earlier, but you really should remember that I'm the girl who wrote a year's worth of 10,000-word-dissertation in under two weeks. Sh.

*giggles* I know I should plan ahead but I've been meaning to take this trip since... since maybe not long after I first found the Asylum? And I'm still here in the last two weeks with two-thirds of the things I need to book unbooked and some money which may or may not be enough. It adds to the excitement! Um. Sort of. ^_^

If you get over here before I get over there, I'm totally touring around the UK with you wherever you want to go. :D I hope I can get to live in Cardiff in the not-too-distant future so I actually have my own sofa to offer. :)

I'm really excited about all this New Zealand stuff now, because two hours ago I was totally blank on what I was doing there and how to get around; now I've found how to get around both islands, I can go on the unbelievable horse-ride around the LotR locations AND I just found my flights into Auckland and out of Christchurch for the sameish price as a return from Auckland. As much as its more relaxing to plan ahead, I think this way has the excitement factor. Tomorrow I get to book everything all at once! Then come on LJ and go "...I JUST SPENT NINE MONTHS WORTH OF MONEY AT ONCE. :-o" :)

I don't know if the UK has a lot of not-touristy cool stuff except a lot of sitting around in coffee shops. ^_^ I love the touristy stuff over here though. The Natural History Museum is possibly my favourite place in the country closely followed by Cardiff Bay, both of which are ridiculously touristy. ^_^

There's gotta be some non-touristy stuff we can do! Even if it is just sitting around in coffee shops. ;-) Well, of course we have to go to Cardiff -- in some shape or form, you have to show me all the Torchwood/Doctor Who type places. lol

Now you're really making me want to start saving up and starting to plan for a trip there. NOT fair!
