Uh. Right now? Probably Merlin. Or, I've just started rewatching Life on Mars and craving good fic for it.

Ready Brek (the lazy form of porridge) with oat bran, golden syrup and cinnamon.

A wedding card for someone my mum worked with (she's getting married on Friday)

While We Have the Sun by Mirah, which is one of the tracks on my mental Halcyon!verse soundtrack

13. What do you think about before you go to bed at night?

That depends on if I'm worrying about anything. If not, maybe fic I should write or whatever I've just been watching/reading.

14. What was the last CD you bought?

I think it was Hungry Lucy's To Kill A King.

15. What is your favorite weather, and why?

SNOW! Because it's the only interactive weather, I don't get it enough, and it makes the entire world look completely different in the space of a few hours.

16. If you could play any musical instrument, which one would you play?

I think guitar. I've always wanted to learn.

17. How are you?

Feeling vaguely guilty because I have a to-do list as long as my arm but it's almost noon and I'm not even dressed.

18. What's something you'd like to say to someone right now?

I know you'd like me to go away and stop being such an inconvenience; believe me, the feeling is mutual

As you can perhaps tell from the icon, I enjoyed Inkheart yesterday. I found the book hard going for the first two-thirds and I probably would've put it down in frustration if I hadn't loved the character of Dustfinger enough to keep turning pages. Likewise Paul Bettany was definitely the best thing about the film, lickable hipbones and all (was it just me or did Brendan Fraser seem a little... lost in this film? He was a good casting choice, he just seemed to sit a little uncomfortably in the middle of everyone as if afraid of putting a foot wrong) but the rest of it made for much easier going than the book. I loved the way they did the writing over everyone. I need to find a god picture of Resa so I can icon her with hers. Or the unicorn, because there's something unspeakably cool about a white unicorn with black text all over it.

So I'll probably be buying it on DVD at some point, if just to icon every second of Paul Bettany. Mmmmmmm.

We also went back to the Yummy Cupcake cafe (:DDD) and I saw Lancaster library for the first time, despite spending three years of uni walking past it. It's actually kinda cool and I really should've looked in there before.

And now for something completely different... Tomorrow I'm thinking I should climb the big hill I can see from my bedroom window. Something needs to be done to work off all those cupcakes, and it'll get me out the house and away from my parents who're slowly but surely driving me insane. If I had roommates this annoying, I would've apple-pied their beds by now, or put an Oxo cube in the showerhead. Or you know, moved out. When I go to Wimbledon in the summer, I'm seriously considering paying

kindoftrouble rent and never coming back, because I'm starting to hate every second I spend in their company. This isn't going to turn into a rant; I like Cumbria, I like having room for more books, I love being so close to Lancaster. I just really don't like my parents. Other people seem to get on just fine with theirs, so I don't know if it's me or them or what but, as people, I genuinely don't like them a lot of the time.

That's probably kind of bad, but every time the boiler in my tiny room wakes me at 6am while a huge empty 'guest' bedroom sits unused next door... it's hard to remember that.

Dammit, I meant to talk about Havemercy in this entry and got side-tracked with complaining. Later, when I've actually some of my to-do list; in the meantime, go and buy it. Seriously. Metal dragons. Amazing characters. It's my new crack.
