Dear Santa... Dear Santa, This year I've been busy! In September I pulled over and changed thefisherqueen's flat tire (15 points). Last Sunday I bought porn for e_goddess (-10 points). Last Tuesday I ruled Duluth, Minnesota as a kind and benevolent dictator (700 points). In January I gave rainisnice a Dutch Oven (-10 points). In July I bought porn for jesse_kips (10 points). APPARENTLY DICTATORSHIP GETS THE THUMBS UP FROM SANTA. WHO KNEW?

Wow, this Christmas Eve kicks last Christmas Eve's ass. Ok, so I've been working until five minutes ago but only inbetween McDonalds milkshake and drinking the stuff in my mug which is only cola, honest and being told to stop working (and okay, I just got handed another ten minutes of work but easy work so not too bad). Plus I finish in less than an hour and we're going for a drink then I'm heading home via Starbucks.

Considering that this time last year I was ill, running around frantically after customers because Waterstone's uses temps to cover everyone who doesn't want to work at Christmas (ie. everyone), crying in the toilets at lunchtime because I was ill and wanted to go home, only I knew I had to wait until at least half five (which actually turned into half six) and then spent two hours trying to put up window displays while drunks knocked on the window... Yeah, I will totally take this Christmas Eve instead. We haven't even had one customer. Bwahaha.

And Christmas Eve tonight, with special food and grandparents and Muppet Christmas Carol, then tomorrow presents and brother & girlfriend coming to Christmas dinner for the first time which if nothing else, will be entertaining.

Which is why I checked other people's layouts to make sure it actually worked (though how did you spot that? I only check other people's layouts if they say 'new layout!'; I just assumed everyone else did the same. Though I suppose with comments...). ;-p I don't know why it's not coming up as a white background on mine. Bah.
