Just writing my address on the envelope to send for the Wimbledon ballot, when it occurred to me - I probably won't be living there when they send the ballot results out (I'll probably hopefully be in Oz actually but my parents won't be living there, whatever) and I definitely won't be living there when they post out the tickets. Is it even possible to apply from one address then get them to change it at a later date? It seems harsh on people who happen to be moving house then if not.

Of course we could pay the Royal Mail to forward everything for us but I'm not sure I trust something as important as Wimbledon tickets to the Royal Mail. Not that I doubt their reliability or anything... oh wait, actually I do.

Not that I'll get tickets this time, since all my luck went on front row Centre seats during a Roger match last year. That's used up my allocation of Wimbledon awesome for at least the next decade. But still.

Hm.

The idea - I say idea because it depends on me being able to stop spending money as fast as I earn it, which so far isn't working so well - is to fly out to Melbourne in early March, wander around Oz to see as much as possible for about six weeks then fly over to New Zealand to do the same before getting home in June (just in time for Wimbledon of course ;) ). I was planning on including as many of my Aussies flisters in the Oz tour as I can so expect me to be turning up at some point asking for help in stealing a road sign with your awesome place name on it. ;-)

If by some woeful lack of willpower on my part I don't have enough money by March then the trip'll just be put back until around September-November time. I will be in Australia sometime next year anyway. ^__^

Yay! If I have a spare bed/sofa/floor to lend when you're over here, it'll be yours. Siblings do have their uses don't they? ;) Thank you! I was hoping I could persuade/bribe some of my flisters to put up with me and I would lovelovelove it if you could come see places with me. It's way more fun to see new places with company, especially awesome LJer company. ^_^

Right now I'm terribly disorganised and only know I will definitely be in Queensland at some point, but I'm going to have to start booking flights soon so I should sort my travel plan in the next couple of weeks. Is there anyplace you'd recommend as definitely worth seeing?

I hope I get some Wimbledon Awesome this year, yes I did get tickets but getting tickets to the day of the womens semi-finals was not good.

Yeah, that is kind of a "Have tickets yays! ...but not to any day you really want." And it's not even as if there was lots of rain so they'd move good matches to that day either. I will cross my fingers for you to have some well-deserved awesome this year. :)

I just remembered they were supposed to be playing lunchtime our time and ran to check the results - only to see the Andy-news. Goddamit Andy! Because it's Roger it almost makes me think he did it on purpose. Ack.
