(I never thought that I would love Wickham. Oh my god. I'm actually furious that I have to wait another week for the next episode. And the lake! The wet shirt! Oh my god. The sheer insane brilliance-

It's so brilliant, isn't it! I was worried at first that they'd ruin it, but you can tell that the writers love Austen and don't want to screw it up.

That's exactly what I thought; the trailers made it look a little spoofy but it's really not. It is just 'what would happen to P&P without Elizabeth?' taken to logical yet insanely brilliant conclusions. It's fabulous.

Also, the guy playing Darcy is all kinds of awesome. I both hate and adore him all at once.

If it doesn't, it's worth looking to download it from somewhere because it is really awesome and there's just the four parts. I was a bit dubious after the first part but it got better and better (although there is still the last part to go and it's going to take something spectacular to sort out the mess they're in, so that's are "Fabulous, but only if..." until I've seen the end)

Seriously. I wouldn't have said Wickham could be made likable in any universe but they've done it and in a way that made me go "Hey actually, now you say that...." I may've flailed all over the room in excitement. ^_^ It probably wouldn't all hold up under serious criticism (I still haven't worked out how the whole 'being inside the book' works and it's niggling a little because there should be rules) but it is very fun. And Darcy is marvellous. Definitely watch it if it comes over there.

So it's an 'if Elizabeth wasn't there' thing? I must admit, my fave P&P fanfic is a 'what if Collins had switched to Mary and never proposed to Lizzy' one. Making one change to a universe can be fun.

It's a "What if Elizabeth sneakily changed places with a girl from modern London" thing, which made me go "..." at how much like badfic it sounded but it does manage to pull it off. And a lot of the things that happen are things that would, logically, happen if Elizabeth wasn't there to stop them. The modern-London girl is also unexpectedly awesome. She asks Darcy to jump in the lake. I died of squee.)
