6.00pm: Our man from El Salvador, Arevalo, is playing Federer tomorrow, so the guy from Central America told me that Federer is on Google trying to find out information about Arevalo because he’s never heard of him

Oh ITF, you are brightening my morning immensely. They've also suggested Andy Murray was struggling because his hair was weighing him down. I am going to love this text commentary so much this week.

edit the I am sort of on my lunch and not even pretending to work: My text commentator: "I've just been chatting to Roger Federer, and he says he's really enjoying playing doubles on a stage "that really matters".

I want to be this person who gets to make funny comments about tennis all day and chat to Roger Federer. I really do. Wow. That is like my Most Awesome Job Ever.

Also, Roger. Aw. It would 'really matter' if you played them with Andy at the USO you know. Or Wimbledon. Or anywhere, really. Anywhere televised. ^_^

edit the I am avoiding counter-signing the two hundred invoices* my boss just gave me:

"10.38pm: Apparently, Novak Djokovic has been enjoying his time in the Olympic Village. The world No. 3 and Australian Open champ said he has been asked to pose for pictures and he has done it in return: "I do ask them for pictures because for me this is the memory, which is going to stay in my life forever." True Olympic spirit from the 6 foot Serb.

Things I Would Now Like to See: The fic where Djokovic asks Roger for a picture. Please. It would be so cute.

* Actually there are at least five signatures required for each invoice. Oh my god. She does realise I do have other work to do right? As much as it may appear that I'm just watching tennis results, I am working around that. o_O

edit the ALMOST TIME TO GO HOME: Guccione/Hewitt vs Calleri/Monaco is at 16-16 in the third set. How are they not ded from heat by now? Good grief.

ahaha feds on google XD..

(so does that mean roger won yesterday :D:D?? I didn't have access to internet the whole day - haven't checked the news either today - and I was quite worried because roger faced dmitry yesterday and just.,... gah, quite nervous, yeah :p)

Reckon murray would do just fine, though...

I know. ^___^ Cute but hilarious.

It rained nearly all of yesterday (thankfully, because I totally confused when he was supposed to be playing and would've missed it) but he played today and won, straight sets. He looked a bit nervous but hit some really pretty shots, so I'm relieved. ^_^ He looked a bit more like the old Roger.

Murray just lost the first set. *sadness* But I'll take Roger winning over Murray. :)

oh no andy! I was watching bbc for a while before off to the library, and andy was still doing pretty fine... I thought because his opponent's is, you know, god knows how many ranking below, I thought he'd do just fine.

hope he's taking the second set well...

(I'm seriously warming to andy murray eversince he beat novak in toronto and then cincinnati... XD)

and still, yey for the prettiness that is roger! do you know when he's playing again? and any streams... *is hopeful*?

He's stillplaying but my text commentator seems more interesting in his hair than the score. It's getting a bit frustrating.

(I've always been a bit fond of Murray but he really has grown on me since Wimbledon. He is a nice guy underneath the poker face. ^_^)

He is playing doubles with Wrinkle later today I think but I don't know if the BBC would show it. Definitely not if Murray's still playing or if he's playing the doubles. So much for unbiased. ;) He'll be playing again tomorrow though I don't think the schedule's out yet... The BBC site are being fantastic about showing video of everything, so you might find live coverage of it in their Olympics section. It doesn't work for me in work though, which is sad. *mourns*

wait... roger is playing double too? goddamn must watch that!

I've never watched roger playing double before...

I've never seen him play doubles either... except I think, one time in Davis Cup against Britain. Maybe. I know I watched some of the singles matches that weekend. He doesn't play them very often, so I guess that doesn't help.

I still want to see him play doubles with Andy (Roddick). *wistful* It's on my list of Things That Absolutely Must Happen.

I am sad that Murray just lost. Though I missed most of his match. *mourns* Just as I start to like the guy too. And I am so glad Roger won easily though I saw nothing because the timezones confused me again. LOL at the text commentary. That is awesome.

But now I have swimming on, so I am happy.

oh no, murray... :(.

Am also sad. :( My commentator called it an abysmal performance. Maybe it just means he'll do better at the USO. Roger did win really easily; there were just a couple of little wobbles but nothing serious. The timezones almost lost me even though I worked it all out on paper. *facepalm* Why is this time difference so hard when they have time differences all the rest of the year too?

Oh Olympics. *hearts* I'm sad because I missed the equestrian cross-country last night though. I might stay up for the show jumping tonight, depending on the tennis schedule.

It really was abysmal. Murray was so bad and so lackadaisical about the whole thing at the end and he looked like he wanted to be anywhere but a tennis court. He wasn't into the match at all. My commentators called it awful and lazy. I think it was true. Timezones are usually okay, because the tv tells me exactly when tennis will start by what time it airs. However the Olympics has 24 hour coverage and now I am lost. Timezones are really not my thing, they end up hurting my brain. I can just about work out England to the US, but that is my limit.

*hearts madly* I watched dressage the other day simply because there was nothing else I wanted to watch. And now? Women's tennis. I have truly hit the lowest of the low. But I watched Roger play doubles online, and him and Stan were the cutest of the cute. I wish I'd seen Andy and Mardy play doubles four years ago. *mourns that too*

Oh Murray. I want to blame the heat but everyone else is managing. Foolish boy. The whole 24hr thing does make it much harder and especially the interactive not having set times for things to start. There has to be a clear schedule somewhere on the interwebs, really.

I watched the dressage but that's because I spend the entire four years between Olympics waiting for the dressage. It's one of the very few sports I can look at and go "I have tried that and it was so hard". ^_^ (Once I rode in the ring, stopped to salute and my horse decided it was a good time to take a very, very long wee. I laughed so hard I almost fell off. I live in hope the same thing will happen at the Olympics one day.)

Roger and Stan are online?! Where?! I will watch it when I get home because, oh Roger. He is very cute playing doubles. I wish I'd seen that too. *wistful*

And I'd take anywhere televised or anywhere I can get to fast. Like Paris. They should play in Paris. I could go for that.

They should, because then I could easily come with you and we could oogle and squee and get many, many adorable pictures.

We could squee and giggle all at the same time. The world would not be safe. Also, they could giggle. We could get photos of Andy and Roger giggling. It would be awesome.

Dear Novak - don't make me go squeaky over you. I hit notes only dogs can hear and this causes complaints.

Lol, Roger on google going "wtf??" Priceless image.
And I would pay good money to see Roger and Andy play doubles. =P
And life is unfair, shouldn't the guy DOING that job be paying THEM?
