So I didn't check the tennis results before I went to get breakfast. I just assumed.

Mum: He didn't do very well in the tennis did he?
Me: ...What?
Mum: Oh. Thought you'd know. Sorry.
Me: What?
Dad: Well, Noddy won.
Me: Yes.
Dda: Murray won.
Me: Yes
Dad: Freddy didn't.
Me:...Oh.


Oh Roger. Just keep swimming. This'll fix itself, if you let it. And maybe never ever play in any year ending in 8 again.

Parents don't understand the stress these things cause us. -_- I was hoping for a great start to the hardcourt season and now, not so much.

I can't read all the articles where he talks about how important an Olympic Gold Medal is to him, because all I can think is of the last Olympics where completely random people won and the commentators were saying that always happens. As much as I want him to win it, all I can see is him setting himself up for another fall. :-(

My dad is indiscriminate in his insulting nicknaming; they get it whether I like the player or not. Nadal = Noddy, Roger = Freddy, Andy = Rodney. Djokovic got Joko yesterday. I gave up arguing years ago. :)

Yup, which bothers me because its not like he needs more things to blow his confidence this year. *snuggles him* Its sucks, and I'm saying ntohign about hopinh because last time I did, he blew out of Toronto in singles AND doubles. So I shan't speak.

Teehee, your dad sounds awesome. I've been fangirling Roger for over a year now and my mum still calls him 'Federo', completely oblivious to the fact she's getting it wrong. *facepalm* And I can think of a lot more insulting names than Joko. I think that's kind =P
