Some time ago, so long that I don't actually have the energy to go back and find the original post, I asked people to name one of my fics and I would write them a drabble or a ficlet that followed it. Some of you did and, being me, I made a note of what to write, started writing and uh. Never got anywhere. Only I kind of did with the first one but I wanted to finish all of them before posting it and now it's like a year or more (two years?) later and I've finally reposted all the old stuff to IJ, and I figure, making you wait two years times five for all of them isn't really fair. So have the only finished one which was tasheila's, a request for a follow-up to In His Absence. It's not long; part of me hates the In His Absence universe because it's heartbreaking every time I touch it, but it's something.

Coda to In His Absence, 617 words, a moment between Andy and Mardy a year or maybe two after the end of In His Absence. Posted over on my IJ fic journal, as any future fic will be though I'll also link to it from here.

I think kindoftrouble's was next. I'll see you with it in 2010...

I'm crying...can't say more in this moment...my hubby will think I'm unrhiged when I will tell him the reason, but I loved "In his Absence" from the bottom of my heart and this...OMG... is chocking...thank you for this...thank you

I am trying. :) If I saw Roger play every day I think I'd be super-inspired and write all the time. Wimbledon should be ongoing all year. ^_^

H! *waves back* :D It feels like ages since we've both been around LJ enough to actually catch each other. I hate having terrible internet at home because it's twice the effort to actually do anything online.

*grins* Because most good fic is written sleep deprived and so is posted late in the day, or early enough in the morning that it's still late. You don't have to do anything comprehensive; I'm just glad you liked it after I made you wait all this time. ^_^

But I can't remember how to write like I could when I wrote Marshmallow. >_< It's really hard getting back in the habit. Also, I think I'll have to be mean to Roger and it makes me sad.

But it was fun. Mmmm. I promise will try, at some point.
