Rose!! Omg Rose and Donna and awesome. Catherine Tate is so fantastically wonderful and I apologise for ever doubting her for a second before this series. I hope she does more drama-y type stuff like this after 'Who so we're not deprived of the Tate awesome.
And oh god, I am so insanely desperate for the next episode but I cannot wish this week to go any faster because it is a week of Wimbledon awesome. However, that is much better than sitting in work all week wishing that it was Saturday. And then I have to decide if I want to watch it next Saturday or wait another week to watch the two back-to-back, like I did back in series two and it was much, much better. I don't know. I don't know if I could let it sit on the Sky box all week without cracking.
This may be the first series that I break my rule of "Not buying the box set until the BBC charge realistic amounts" for, because it has had moments of sheer unadulterated genius. Okay, so admittedly there have been low points (I would like to add my two cents that I thought last week wasn't one of them, as I very much enjoyed the approach of forcibly subjecting the Doctor to the worst side of human nature, to the point where he had nothing left to hope for in these people until someone proved him right in always believing, only he was almost past the point of caring and oh, David Tennant's acting of that despair as they were dragging him toward the door broke my heart but that is another post that I may never have the energy to make), mainly anything involving Martha. (I was disappointed to see her in the trailer for next week though I guess I should've expected it and I was also kind of startled at my disappointment at seeing the Torchwood lot because there are things I like about the Torchwood people, excepting Gwen, but it took me a bit by surprise how pissy I was that they were encroaching on my Doctor Who time. But all that was balanced by Sarah-Jane who is freaking awesome. It was her 'death' this week, even via the TV report, that really got to me. The Doctor's was of course the kicker but I was amazed but how gutted I was over Sarah-Jane, even when I knew it would all be reversed in the fantastical magic of sci-fi. And I was so happy to see her in the trailer, because that I wasn't expecting. If it was announced then I missed it. Yay for Sarah-Jane!) But on the whole this series has balanced out to wonderful and, having just watched the Confidential for the first time this series, I would up that to a 'fantastic' because the sneaky little bastards have been planning the entire time. I love it. I love that after this, I can go back and rewatch and pick up on all these beautiful little things. Oh 'Who. As much as you occasionally disappoint me, you are mostly my favourite thing in the world.
Also, Billie always knew she was coming back? Goddammit. I wish I lied that well.
Now I have to go get my jeans out to dry and actually have some food before I waste away. The things I do for Doctor Who episodes... or rather don't do. Sigh.
