Firstly, happy belated birthday to
scoobydumblonde! Sorry I didn't say it yesterday; we got home late from Hay-on-Wye. Hope my package got there in time because I didn't post it until last Monday. I didn't forget! Hope you had a good day. :)
Secondly some squee with - I don't know if this is even a spoiler because surely tribesmen who speak only in grunts and live in remote mountain caves know this now but I'm sure someone will shout at me if I don't cut it - ROSE. ROSE WITH A GREAT BIG GUN AND ATTITUDE AND ROSE. ROSE TYLER BACK IN DOCTOR WHO TRAILERS. VERY VERY EXCITED NOW.
*flails*
Unfortunately I have ignorant parents and through most of the trailer my dad had a great big box over the screen trying to figure how how to cancel one of the two recordings (we've only had Sky for about ten years now; it'll take at least another ten before they can manage anything more than changing the channel) and by the time I realised it was Something I Needed to Watch there were only a few seconds left. But ROSE. And Daleks too. I got so excited about Dalek before it aired and now I'm kind of "More freaking Daleks? DIDN'T YOU SAY THERE WERE NO MORE LEFT GODDAMN YOU AND YOUR TWISTY LIES." But I see the logic of bringing Daleks back with Rose and I do love Daleks really, so I'm still excited. Also, ROSE. *flails* I don't even care that crazy Rosefen have given the whole loving of Rose a bad name; I love Rose and I shall flail to my heart's content over the next few weeks. Yay!
I originally wanted to squee over Jessie still being in I'd Do Anything because I knew she'd be out if she was in the sing-off and I was so inanely happy when she wasn't but Doctor Who awesome distracted me. Still, yay! I'm sad Rachel went out though because I really think she would've made a better Nancy than Samantha. I think they might have problems if Samantha gets it, I really do. Just- little things. Like she smiles when they're singing the losers out at the end, always always smiles while everyone else cries. And she gets left out of hugs sometimes and she's smug and she shouts the songs sometimes, only they never say that to her. And I think I'm a little disillusioned about Barrowman by this point, because he does fawn over Samantha regardless of how good she's been that week, whereas Jessie has been consistently put down rather than supported. I'm glad votes backed me up with Samantha this week, finally, because I was starting to wonder if it was just me.
I've stolen the father's laptop for this (the only computer in the house that reliably connects to our pathetic internet right now; I am not amused) and he's making angry noises, so all I will say about Hay-on-Wye is that I bought twelve books in less than two days, we went to a fantastic circus and I loved it, even when the woman was driving me nuts. Have to go back again, if not next year then the year after. Preferably without a parent in tow and lots of money.
...I think that covers most things. Except, I really need a new laptop. One that doesn't hate our crappy internet. -_-

Date: 2008-05-28 10:43 am (UTC)...To the nearest TV! Sod work. Davros.
You have now made me entirely too excited to focus on work for the rest of the day. Be ashamed of yourself. ;) (Unless you can find me a link to watch the trailer that is not YouTube, because my work internet gives me "HAH! NO! NO YOUTUBE FOR CLO IN WORK!" messages when I try to access it. Woe.)

Date: 2008-05-28 08:01 pm (UTC)ROSE!! At the end of series four!! :D And I don't think we'll see it for another couple of weeks at least; they're just running the trailers to make us all flail. If I can get the whole series downloaded on my crappy internet I'll send it on. :) Rose is too awesome not to been seen by everyone.
