Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom!

clo_againIf you haven't yet seen Pirates of the Caribbean, go now. Go see it. Now. I'm commanding you to go! If just for Johnny Depp's walk. God that man is hilarious. And Orlando Bloom ain't bad either.
I must admit, I wasn't sure what to expect slash-wise from this movie. I'd heard that it was slashy and I'd heard that it wasn't, so I decided to make my own mind up. And my decison? SLASHSLASHSLASHSLASH.....
I don't know if it was just me. But frankly, I would have more believed in Will ending up with Jack than Will/Elizabeth. Will/Jack had so much going for it, and of course they *couldn't* end it that way (I look longingly towards the days when they can) but I didn't feel the 'relationship' between Will/Elizabeth had any depth. Call it wishful thinking, call it insanity, call it anything, but when Christine asked me after we came out if I'd be writing PotC fanfic, I very nearly answered 'Well for a start I'm going to write Jack/Will.....' But she's a non-slash convert (I think) so I muttered something about when I've finished everything else. But I probably won't because by then everyone else will have said everything far better than I could so I'll settle for reading their fic instead.
God, Johnny Depp was great in this film. It wasn't so much that Orlando Bloom wasn't acting well (the man can pack a *lot* into a close-up, come on, and I don't mean looks-wise), it was more than Johnny Depp upstaged EVERYONE. *DRAMATICALLY* I loved it. I loved it all.
GO SEE THIS MOVIE.
Other than that, I don't have much to say. Except Pirates of the Caribbean RULED. Oh yeah.
