Am very tired.
Feb. 9th, 2008 01:39 amHave done many things today, not least and most unstressful of which was posting my cheque off to Wimbledon to pay for my tickets. There was hurrying to get it done and almost-forgetting of details which, due to my tendency to obsessively check and recheck with Wimbledon things, was undisastrous, just, and now it's on its way which leaves me hoping it gets there intact (I worry incessantly about Royal Mail when it comes to these things, even though they've proven their awesome to me many times over the years. Then again, sometimes I wouldn't be happy unless I personally *hand delivered* things, which would cost a whole lot more than postage).
Other than that; I was bought new jeans which are more uncomfortable than I first thought and, as I discovered an hour or so ago, sit low enough to be very embarrassing when a ridiculously tall friend lifts you clear off the ground and your top rides up; I listened to four live bands from opposite ends of the musical spectrum; made a mental note for posterity of
hill2k's discovery in Pizza Hut's mens' toilets - "There's a mirror in there that's perfect for looking at your ass"*; drank more coke than I suspect is good for me; and took Casper to the vet to get his shots and a clean bill of health, which is always shiny news. I love our vet. I think Casper does too, because for the first time ever he was trying to wander around the room to see everything. He used to just cower.
We also, finally finally finally, almost have a finished bathroom. This is news almost on par with the excellence of Wimbledon tickets, since life in a house full of workmen and no usable bathroom for days at a time should be instituted as its own circle of hell.
I'm going to sleep before I pass out on the keyboard. Tommorow is a day of catching up on comments and tidying my room so I can actually see the floor/bed/chair/all three again. I seem to do this surprisingly often, with little effect.
* I told him I would post this quote to LJ. Fair warning and all. ^_^
