clo_againI just spotted our resident woodpecker up close for the first time (we suspected one was around but he's a sneaky bugger) and it's Great Spotted Woodpecker. He was on the bird feeder right up by the house. Pretty, pretty bird.
It's some compensation that I dragged myself out of bed at 8am in case the plumber showed early. Which, an hour and a half later, he hadn't. I'm so asleep right now that my brain's not functioning and I can't drink lots of coffee because we have *one bathroom*, currently occupied by a plumber and lots of tools. And I really don't want to bother with a bus ride just to find a loo so, no coffee.
It was somewhat hilarious how floofy Casper went when the plumber walked upstairs though. He came skulking down looking about twice his usual fluffiness and hid behind the curtains. He's not this bad with everyone - though he's not great - just workmen. Even hearing them chatting outside sends him diving for cover. Bizarre.
Ngh. Wish I could hide behind the curtains and sleep. At least I remembered to bring DVDs down before the path to my room was blocked off with plumber-stuff.
