So my skirt is too long.

For my Halloween outfit that is. It looks great with my boots but knee-length cord just does not go with gothic fairy. So I'm looking for - and finding - reasonably priced black mini-skirts.

Mini-skirts. I just- I don't do the mini thing. At all. Even though I'm wearing tights (white and black striped and sofreakingcool) I did stop at about the third skirt I was checking out to go "Wait, am I actually seriously considering this?"

The things we do for Halloween. Though I got to buy Jeff-Hardy-type fishnet armsleeves today and I'm still squeeing over them hours later.

Also, buy black nail varnish. And resist the temptation to buy black Converse to complete the whole thing because I cannot afford them. Dammit.

Instead of a miniskirt have you thought about one of those poofy skirts that stick out? Thats gothic fairylike and yet not a miniskirt ^^ Like a tutu?

*grins* If I wasn't worried about money I'd probably go for something proper fairylike, poofy or ragged or sticky-out. But all the proper costume or gothy stuff costs a lot and, even though I probably won't wear a miniskirt that often, it'd probably be more wearable more often than a proper fancy skirt.

Plus, my legs don't suck overly much when they're in tights (especially stripy ones which are nicely distracting). I'll just have to remember not to bend over. ^_^
