We saw Stardust and it was awesome. Admittedly, the Gay Sky Pirate thing took me a little by surprise (was that in the book? It's been a while but I'm sure I would've remembered there being Gay Sky Pirates. It's the sort of thing that sticks) but then there was pretty Charlie Cox and some of the most pretty CG work I've seen in a while and yes, I will be going again when it gets released properly over here in two weeks. Because *Gay Sky Pirates*. And because um. Did I mention Charlie Cox was *pretty* with the long hair? Ahem.

Got a free copy of the book too. So that'll be me owning two copies then. Heh.

In other news of my life: Barnabas is sulkily sleeping under his wheel because I just shifted the heaps of sawdust he'd flung everywhere flat again. Found a newt in the garden earlier; think it's living somewhere around our barrel of fish. My room is such a disaster zone, it's not actually possible to see the floor right now.

...Nope. That's it. See why I'm not posting much lately? Though there will be Top Gear Squee and Robin Hood Squee and Ewan McGregor On Jonathan Ross Squee over the next few days. Prepare yourselves.

Also, I now know what it feels like to be in car going 70mph down the motorway... with the door open. Yeah. Mull on that while I go sleep. ;)

stardust=awesome, I thought it was so lovely when she glowed :) Charlie cox looked super hot with the long hair. I thought he looked a bit like carlos moya :D

The glowing was a really nifty special effect and I like that it was there all the time in the background, not just when it was An Important Plot Point. Now you mention it, he did look a little Moya-ish. ^_^ Mmmmm. Have to say, I probably wouldn't be quite so eager to spend money I don't have on seeing it again if he hadn't been so pretty. *is shallow* But I guess it still would've been awesome even if he looked terrible, so maybe I would.

Ewan McGregor On Jonathan Ross Squee

...oh, I hope I'm not the only person who interpreted that the way I initially did.

Nope; I typed it, went "I should change that" "..." "Nah, leave it for funsies." :D Besides, the way Jonathan's been going I wouldn't be surprised if they do. His interview with Simon Pegg was practically a date anyway. Maybe his next goal is getting to second base on national TV.

Jonathan Ross is absolutely mad. But I have to say that it's sort of awesome to have one of the biggest Top Gear slashers in the world presenting a high-profile chatshow.

He is, though it gives him a great excuse to get away with craziness like the slash on a highly popular chat show. There are no words for the awesome of that Clarkson/Hamster manip (the only thing that could make it more awesome is if they mention it in the new series. The thud of fangirls falling off the sofa would echo through the universe).

Ah Rossy. Never get less mad.

Fun, isn't it.

BTW - which cinema did you see Stardust at because our local Odeon is being bizarre and claiming not to show it.

Yep. The road seems to be moving a lot faster when there's nothing between you and it. :)

The actual release isn't until around October 19th but we went to a special preview showing at the huge Vue in Cheshire Oaks (hence free book and popcorn etc). Full of kids and minus trailers but totally worth it. ^_^

That's alright then. I was lucky enough to see one of the early trailers and I've wanted to see it ever since.

BLAME [livejournal.com profile] dukedee FOR DISCOVERING A SPECIAL SHOWING AT OUR NEAREST BIG VUE AND FOOLISHLY POSTING ABOUT IT TO LJ AND OFFERING ME LIFTS BAD PERSON THAT HE IS. ;)

Seriously though, it was all like some weird fluke. And now I want it to be out everywhere so I can see it again.
