You get the funky socks because long socks were easier than fussing with the~~leggings~~ footless tights ~~leggings dammit!~~ I bought to go with them for tomorrow (Cardiff trip!) and these were the first pair I grabbed out the drawer.

You don't get all of me because (a) the parents are sleeping in the room with the full-length mirror and (b) while my legs are wearing cute boots, the rest of me is wearing a Snoopy nightie and looks about six. So, no. ;)

They aren't quite the black and purple gothic platform boots I saw forever ago and still mourn for (were huge platforms. Would've broken my neck. Would've been wearing such cool boots that I wouldn't have cared) but they're both functional (work) and awesome (with funky socks).

I couldn't resist just going to look for those platform boots again but alas, my Google-fu fails me. I did however, find this. I don't even dress remotely gothic anymore and I'm still drooling over my keyboard. That is awesome enough that it might just be getting added to the birthday list.

Twenty-two? What? Shut up. ;)

Anyway. Off to Cardiff tomorrow morning to ~~SHOP~~ help my brother pack and then move on Saturday. My eagerness to go down the day early has nothing to do with the shiny new Borders opening there tomorrow. No wait, today now. Of course not. ^_^ Not sure what the state of my brother's internet is, so I'll probably be disappearing until Saturday/Sunday.

That (and the fact that, between boots, clothes and train tickets, I spent over £80 today) is a well-timed distraction from the fact that I'd be heading back to Lancaster Saturday if I was still in uni. I'll cling to my shiny new boots and spend lots of money on shiny Cardiff things to cope with my woe. It'll be difficult but if I buy enough shiny things...

Also, I'm now heading down to London on November 2nd whether

kindoftrouble disowns me or not by then. ^_^ I suppose I could always sleep in a tree in Hyde Park. ;-) Between that and autumn starting to set in properly and with the heading to one of my favourite cities anywhere tomorrow, even my lack of jobness cannot make the next couple of months look anything but awesome.* ^_^
