Indeed we cannot blame the awesome, because it's... awesome. And random things are often awesome too. It'd just be nice to have awesome visit on demand when we need distracting from boring things. ^_^
Awesome is always totally awesome. :D Random is fun and odd and sometimes hilarious; actually a lot of the time my random is hilarious. Strangely, my random today brought me to fic which I haven't wanted to do in ages, but the mood struck tonight. It was nice. The world does not work like that though, because if it did then life would be too fun and too perfect. And life is never perfect.
Your random is very hilarious (see Dr. Acula. ^_^) Ooo, does this mean we might get Hollyfic sometime soon? *glees* You might get clofic if we get Hollyfic. Actually having the urge to fic again = yayness!
It isn't perfect. And maybe awesome would not be so awesome if it appeared on demand. Maybe awesome is more awesome when spontaneous.
These are the random thoughts that pop into my head at work so you can thank me being extremely bored today for Dr. Acula. (I love when J.D. had to explain that the ending would make it into Dracula by taking the . out.) It might do. :P *wants clofic looooots* Though this is basically sadfic, because Andy is injured. It's my over the top, Andy's-world-is-ending fic that I've wanted to write for about two years.
Spontaneous awesome is definitely the best. It wouldn't be as random and fun otherwise.
Work is good for something other than money. ^_^ (Me to. He got so excited even though it was obvious and it was oh-so-cute.) *waaaaaaaants Hollyfic* You'll get clofic, because this fanmix is going to have fic in the liner notes and also, I kinda remembered I had requests from half a year ago that I hadn't done yet. Poor Andy; you're far too good at being mean to him (though this fanmix is kinda mean to him and your request!fic is too, I think.) He has to have a little fluff? A teensy bit? :D Though at this point I'd take the bitterest angst if it meant Hollyfic.
'The Law of Spontaneous Awesome: the awesome quota of an object/statement increases in direct proportion to its spontaneity.' Politicians would be much more fun if they suggested laws like that more often.
LOL. Yes, apparently it is. I sometimes have lines of fic that I never do anything with pop into my head at work, which I like too. :) It's a good distraction, will be a better one with the new job as there are apparently a lot of training classes. (J.D. is way too cute when he's excited.) Yay fic and fanmix! I totally can't wait. At all. :D You'll like my fic, I think, I do torture Andy but it's only because I love him. Honestly. He'll have some fluff at the end, he gets his happy ending with Roger and this time, he has no one to blame but himself for the angst. Not like kidnapping, which I really should finish.
Oh yes. I think that should be called Clo's Law and it should be put into use lots and lots.
Thinking about fic was a great distraction when I used to work in the coffee shop. I'd write snippets in my breaks. It's odd that having to work at something completely unrelated makes you want to fic. Yay for training classes! Less hard work and also, sounds like they make get us more Hollyfic. :D (He is. He makes me want to jump up and down and squee with him, just because he's so bouncily happy.) The fanmix itself is finished; it's just the fic side I'm working on now. There need to be more Andy/Roger matches in a year, because the thought of that is what made me start it (I wanted to get it finished before their match but it depends how the fic goes). YAY! I love the angst when it ends happily. Especially with Roger. :D You should finish kidnapping because I still have the bits of it sitting in my 'Other Fic' folder and it taunts me with the unresolved angst.
*has glee at having a law named after her* It is a law of awesome, so it will bring awesome when used. Even though I'm going to be silently judging awesome thing by their spontaneity forever now.
(*is amused by the bad influence icon* It probably applies to both of us. ^__^)
I think it's the monotony, you have to be creative just to make your brain work a bit. Or that's my excuse, I'll write snippets and lines on my lunchbreaks and scenes from fics that only happen in my head because they never go onto paper as well. I think they will, because my brain will need something to do. If I'm bored, I need the creativity to stay awake. I claim that's why I doodle so much. ;) Eeeeeeeeeee. I am getting so excited for the fanmix/fic, which, now I want to steal as an idea as I have a perfect fanmix cover and way to get the snippets into the cover and dammit. *wants* Andy/Roger should play every week, because though Andy will lose, I love their matches. I can't think of two people who I'd rather have play, no matter when or where. Better than most of the young players coming up, most of which are just so dull. Andy and Roger are just angsty. Andy and Mardy less so. ;) They get all the fluff. I should. I keep adding parts every so often but there are parts that do not want to be written and it keeps stopping me from finishing it.
That's true; working on something boring does make you want to fic more. I wrote bits of the Pretty Close to Invincible series when I was working but I do the 'mental-ficcing' thing too. It's annoying when something sounds wonderful in your head but comes out on paper all wrong. I doodled all through school (though apparently there are people who learn the subject through doodling rather than taking notes! How cool is that? Hah to all the teachers who yelled at me for it). I just hope this fanmix works because I've spent about three days trudging through all my music for the right songs. And I still changed half of them tonight but I think they're definitely picked now. Steal away! It bugs me endlessly that a fanmix is like getting the soundtrack without seeing the movie; this is the best of both. *pokes encouragingly* Even when Andy loses their matches can still be wonderful and if they played every week, I'd never run out of fic inspiration. There's just layers to their matches, which maybe comes from slashing them for too long but there's the surface angst of if Andy loses again and then all the deeper angst and liking that could be going on underneath. (On a side note, watched the Jonathan Ross-Andy interview again today and couldn't help wondering if Roger saw it and what his reaction to getting mocked was. :D) Andy and Mardy are almost too cute for angst, unless it's unrequited-love angst because that's cute in its own way too. You should and when I'm sure my muses are up and running rather than creaking uncertainly along, I'll be bribing you for more. Fair warning. ;)
Of course. ^___^ You do need a law. Hm. Job for tomorrow; think of potential laws. We'll need them for our constitution when we're in charge anyway; it's being productive. Honest. ;)
(That's good then - at least we're both equally bad and can't be blamed.)
Boring always makes me want to be creative, whether it's icons, layouts or just simply writing. It really is, I think I'd be better as a filmmaker sometimes because I can picture it in my head, every moments and every angle but it doesn't quite work on paper and it's the most frustrating thing, because in movies it's easier to do some things and harder others, and it's a lot of the reasons why books don't always work as films. Doodling is meant to help you because it gets the brain active. A teacher told me that, one of my favourites, and he let us during class as long as we were paying attention too. Which was awesome. You last fanmix was awesomething, this one will be too. I am sure of it. :D Woohoo! I will totally have to steal that idea. Their matches just kill me, I love them playing each other. I love them talking about each other and seeing pictures of them together and if they played more, I might die. Slash does help, but they really write it themselves, a heartbroken Andy and Roger who always does seem truly sorry afterwards. (Bwahahaha, I loved Rossy so much for that mockage, and I'm sure Andy showed it to him just for kicks. :P And when he sits on Andy's lap. Classic.) They are, it's the knowing each other for years and years thing, and the history and the living together and hey are adorable. I can picture one being in love with the other and not telling him, and watching the other in whatever relationship (except it's always Mardy that hasn't told Andy, because Andy would not care if Mardy knew). Yes, but bribing always means I get more Clofic too and I love Clofic so much. I have missed it. :)
:P So thought of any Hollylaw yet? I feel it should be something to do with Andy, as I am your reliable Andypedia. The walking, talking, slashing version. ;)
