clo_againSo I'm typing on my laptop right now. Have been all day for my portfolios, because I can sit with it on my lap. But the main computer was on with Pandora running and me occasionally checking LJ.
Only I picked up the bluetooth keyboard -- carefully, no dropping or jerking, just *picked it up* a minute ago to answer an LJ comment from the windowsill where I'm sitting -- and it didn't work.
Right, fine I thought and restarted the computer thinking my moving it had messed with the bluetooth connection. Only to realise when it still refused to work on restarting, that I now couldn't get into my account -- the *only* admin account -- because I couldn't type my password. And the guest account can do nothing because it doesn't have admin properties. It can't even read the fucking help centre.
This is not quite the end of the world, because I do have the laptop and I think I'd already emailed everything to it from the main computer earlier figuring I was going to work on it from here and whatever I don't have should be on the crew site. I even think that maybe I'll be able to work the printer from it, though I'll have to check that.
This is however, the absolute last thing I need on top of the fact that I'm not going to finish everything. I can't even open the internet from the other computer because it's not set up for the uni network on the guest account and I can't remember the settings. Not that I can *type anything* anyway.
I swear, something fucking hates me today. If dad hadn't brought the laptop up last week and if I hadn't happened to be using it instead of the main computer for the portfolio stuff, I would be so screwed right now. As it is, I have no idea what to do. Except maybe smash the keyboard. Which won't make it work but will make me feel better.
Breathe. Do not panic. Just breathe.
edit: And yes, I have changed the batteries.
edit: Printer does not work with laptop due to stupid me leaving cds at home. HOWEVER. Can type on laptop, do everything and edit on here, then transfer stuff via mp3 player to guest account on main computer to print out.
