Doctor Who...

... was weird. Maybe it's the two-parter thing, because I can never make judgement calls on the first part of double episodes but I caught myself saying "meh" far too many times.
That said I still love Daleks, no matter how often they're overused. I have geeky adoration for them as characters, regardless of plot.
The Tennant was good tonight though. I liked his reaction-speech to realising the Daleks were behind it all. Martha got the short end of the stick this week script-wise I think and Freema's performance was a little... shrill sometimes. I don't know what it was exactly. I caught myself missing Rose terribly in that scene with Tallulah though, where they were talking about Lazlo (and did that make anyone else think of Grand Theft Auto? I kept thinking of the "Would you like a kitten? Have one delivered!" adverts and laughing.) I know Freema's not meant to be as empathetic as Rose but that was the kind of scene Billie was so good at and I don't think Freema's got the balance right yet.
Waiting until I've seen the second half to make a judgement but it didn't knock me over backwards with the awesome this week. Has some leg-work to do next week if it wants to be better than okay.
edit: My favourite Joseph (Seamus) is being a little bit an ass about needing to be a team player. Dear Curls, be less of a smug git. People will vote you off and I like your hair too much to see it go so soon. No love until you stop being a wanker, Clo.
But you are singing a song I love. That gets you brownie points.
edit of frustrated flailing: DON'T ARGUE WITH THE JUDGES, IT MAKES YOU LOOK LIKE A GIT.
