*blank horror*

... Does anyone know if the Top Gear boys were borrowing a Bugatti this weekend?

edit: Crikey, one article says it wasn't even the owner driving: two guys had borrowed it to 'take it for a spin'.

Though if you're stupid enough to lend your £800,000 253mph-capable car to a couple of guys in the first place... oh c'mon, you are kind of asking for something like this. Though another article's saying it was a consortium who owned it and they were renting it out.

Really. Asking for it.

I just saw that and I was wondering why they didn't name the people driving.

It is kind of weird. Especially now I'm reading that it was owned by a consortium who were renting it out. I can just see Jeremy going "... Veyron for hire, that's mine."

Although apparently it cost £20,000 to rent and I just read in Jeremy's book about him not having money like that to throw around. So I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. Sort of.

*grins* The articles also say there was the man driving and "a younger male passenger."

I really wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be Jeremy and Hamster. Though I'm pretty sure Hamster's wife would have Serious Wrath if he managed to get into another high speed crash so soon.

Oh. My. God. Life would not be worth living if you crashed one of them.

Nope. I'd die of shame. Or of Jeremy Clarkson killing me for breaking the best car ever.

Poor, poor car.

Wow ... that happened right near where I live back home!

(And hello there, 'tis Rosanna from our delightful creative writing seminars!)

You had a Bugatti Veyron near where you live! That's very cool, though if there was one near me, I'd spend way too much time stalking it. Pretty, pretty car.

(*waves* Howdy! :D)

Oye. Okay, if I owned one of those, I wouldn't ever drive the damn thing! And definitely wouldn't be renting it out or letting anyone borrow it. *shakes head* They were totally asking for it, but the pretty car!!!

Neither would I. I'd let myself sit in it very carefully in the garage maybe. If Richard Hammond himself called to ask to borrow it, I'd say no unless I got to sit in it with him Renting it out to strangers = pure crazy.

Very pretty car. There's an episode of Top Gear where they drive it from Italy to London I think and it's gorgeous. I haven't got it on my computer though I don't think. *mourns*

*giggles* Exactly! Hey, I would've even let MARDY borrow it and I'd do just about anything he wanted me to. :-)

Oh, awesome. I'd love to see that ep. Heck, I'd like to see any of them so I could know what you were talking about :-P

Yep, there are few things that even pretty tennis players on their knees begging couldn't make me do but lending out a Bugatti Veyron is one of them. :)

I'll see if I can dig it out for you from somewhere. I know I've got at least half of it on a dvd somewhere and I'm pretty sure Holly will have the whole thing if I don't. You may like the contents of the envelope I finally posted to you today then. ^_^ That is, if the discs actually work which, although I checked them all, they may not because copied discs secretly hate me.

Yeah, if I'm gonna pay that much for a car? No one drives it. Not even me. :-)

Cool. Oooh, yay. I get a package!! *bounce* And awesome. *crosses fingers* We'll just have to hope that it works. ;-)

Nope. Way too much money to risk it.

It's not got a lot in it but packages are always fun. ^_^ *crosses fingers too* I did check every episode on them and they all worked but... discs will work for me and not for anyone else or break mysteriously en-route and it's very frustrating. Hopefully they'll work this time. pokes her computer warningly*

Also, if Jeremy insults America and American cars, don't take any notice because he insults everyone. He once put a plastic model of Wales in a microwave and melted it. It's all part of his... charm. :)

*nods*

Just a letter from you would brighten my day. :-P Yay. *pokes postal services* always blame them!

*giggles* I like hearing America being insulted. ;-)
