I just ate sushi. And it was nice. Says the girl who dislikes seafood but I'm starting to think maybe it's time I narrowed that down a bit.

Dude. I love getting free sushi just by walking to the kitchen.

Me and Holly will take you at Wimbledon time :D You don't even have to have the raw fish kind at this place, because they do meaty shushi as well, which is what I had because I was recovering from ill and didn't think raw fish was appropriate.

Cool. :D Though, probably best to start small and work up, since I've only tried one at a time so far. ^_^ Mmmmm, meaty... now I'm hungry. It should be Wimbledon time already.

Probably a good idea ;) The meaty ones are extremely nice. There's a crisy duck one and there's one of my favourites, which is a very thin slice of rare beef on top of the rice (this style of sushi is called nigiri :p) and there's a small drop of flavoured mayo on top.

I think my new resolution for the year is to try eel sushi. Because I didn't even know it existed before just now and, dude. Damn my curiosity.

Well, some sushi is raw, but there's a lot of stuff that's smoked or acid cooked as well. Eel is usually smoked...and it's got this great sweet taste to it.

... I have no idea if what I ate tonight was raw or not. *ponders*Interesting. Eel is sounding better and better (I love the taste of smoked meat). I have no idea how to get eel sushi around here but am thinking I should be looking into it.

Eel is usually on menus as "Unagi." (This is the sort of thing I learned after years of Judo...)
