Spent the morning chilling in bed, reading Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit and, in between getting occasionally narked by the pretension, having immense fun. All books should be this fun to read. Even knowing I have to write a 200 word review on it by tomorrow doesn't make it less fun.

I actually got my 500 (600) words of novel in for this week too, and I wasn't even the last one to submit it. Doing well on the productivity front so far; if I can just spend some quality time on dissertation stuff this afternoon...

I don't know whether to read the sonnets for Shakespeare this week or not. I still want to catch up on Othello and Twelfth Night which I probably will do in the exam, unlike the sonnets which I probably won't but I've found some of the best fic titles lurk within the evils of poetry. Then again, dissertation meeting Wednesday. Prioritise.

Feeling so lazy today. I should probably get out of my PJs sometime soon.

...*lazes*

At least Andy can pull off the 'I am cute, dorky and have no fashion sense'. Roger just looks... well, bad. Usually.

Andy does have his unnatural levels of innate cuteness going for him. Roger almost pulls off the cute sometimes but can also look like he got into a fight in a charity shop.

However, see above reason for why this is a good thing. (ie. me scrambling for ways to excuse the utterly terrible clothes. ;-) )

Yes but Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit taught me today that perfection is not flawlessness, it's a balance between the good parts and the bad parts. So they're more perfect because they have bad dress than they would be if they all looked like models all the time.

...It's as good a justification as any. ;-)

My mum introduced me to that book when I was twelve. Is that wrong?

:D Not at all! I wish I'd read it before, because it's the kind of book that begs to be read over and over to get all the nuances out of it.

It also makes your mum very cool. :) In our house, it's me that introduces the books with gay couples to my mother. And every time I'm waiting for her to make some comment (she hasn't yet though, brownie points for that).
