I saw that when it first came on, and it reminded me why I hate Ruth Rendell's stuff.

There was an unnerving amount of pretty in that.

The sheer levels of pretty were totally unexpected. I have a new fondness for Marc Warren for giving such pretty to the world.

Though I haven't watched the second half yet, so I can only anticipate from the tone that the levels of pretty will drop dramatically. Alas.
