Jan. 12th, 2007 03:14 pmIt's very, very grey today, unusually so even for Lancaster. It never quite brightened up fully and now it's edging toward twilight again. Totally bizarre.
Finished Shrew. Contemplating trip to library to check for more resource books since I only have three and a half, plus Sandman #3. Mmm. Can I really be arsed walking?
Then again, can I really be arsed to deal with the consequences of failing this essay? *sighs* Looks like I'm going to have to walk.
edit: Library site is refusing to load which is not, in any way, encouraging. Think I'll write it off until tomorrow.
edit: Library site loaded and found a couple of books that aren't on loan -- my bastardly fellow English students, taking them all over Christmas. Ggggrrr -- that look useful but still puting off until tomorrow. Because. Well. Grey.
You know, I put the Um Bongo song into my shuffled playlist to make myself laugh every time it comes on unexpectedly. About a hundred times of unexpectedness later, I'm still laughing.
And kind of craving Um Bongo. Now that's marketing.

Date: 2007-01-12 06:10 pm (UTC)Um. Possibly? (Keeping in mind this is the person who studied English for two years and only bothered to work out the library's short loan section a few months ago. ;) ) It's not so much needing the info -- I've got a few books and any more'll just be saying the same things over and over again -- but they sulk if you don't quote enough reference sources, both online and offline. I usually aim for around fifteen altogether and I only have... *counts* four books, plus one or two quirky ones like Neil Gaiman and Machiavelli that I only use because I find it funny.
... That was a long answer to a short question that was in no way because I'm avoiding work. Ahem. Really.

In other words, you're really just looking for an excuse to procrastinate. Yes? *nods* Yes. *pets you*

Date: 2007-01-12 06:52 pm (UTC)... Yes. And finding many, many excuses (scribbling snippets of Hustle fic, re-reading Marshmallow and wondering why don't I finish it because it's probably some of my better writing, wondering where I read something about spiritual orgasms the other day (no, I don't know either but I read it *somewhere*)... many distractions. Am a bad person.)

Date: 2007-01-12 06:57 pm (UTC)*giggles* Excuses are easy to find, but you must do essay! You MUST! And remember, the sooner you finish it, the sooner you can not feel guilty (if you do feel guilty) for procrastinating. she says as she convieniently (or however it's spelled) forgot the disk with her stuff for her big project she's working on.

Date: 2007-01-12 07:05 pm (UTC)I know, I know. >_< I keep forgetting that Shakespeare essays take me longer and I really need to get a good mark on it to keep on track for a good degree. (I do feel guilty. Just, not enough. More of a mild "Oh I meant to do this work, played Lemmings instead, oh well, I'll have to do it later.) Yes but you do a ton of stuff *all the time*, so it's okay if you have a day off now and then. I live in a constant day off. I still maintain you got given my motivation as well as yours by mistake. ;) )

Date: 2007-01-12 07:13 pm (UTC)*grin* ESSAY FIRST PLAY LATER!!! (Though notice, I don't not respond so you'll go do it. :-D) I suppose, but this is a really big project -- like its on par with, if you were to try to update Play Suspended right now. That kind of big, huge thing. So.. yeah... I think I did get your motivation... as well as some other peoples too. *nods* *gives it back*
