Two-thirds of the way through Midsummer Night's... and am slowly falling asleep. It's not that I don't like it; I love the batshit crazy of this play and that the fairies lover's tiff caused ancient!global warming (it so did) and even the disturbing image of Ally McBeal Helena wanting to be a spaniel but... god, the speeches go on forever.

Need tea to get through this. Lots and lots of tea.

Don't worry, just read about a guy marrying a horse and enjoying all the martial extrs while his human girlfriend defends him and laugh until you're crying because if you don't your brain will die and you'll be fine.

Whole universes of wrong. O_O Though the Wtf-married-a-horse laughter did get me through the reading yesterday. Every time I got bored, I'd just read another few comments, laugh for ten minutes and carry on.

I loved the comments. I think my favourite were the line about Nature being on the phone, and the totally sarcastic 'if a man wants to fuck a horse while his girlfriend protects him because all she wants is a hug in the morning then it's fine, and the horse psychically told him it was all right' although both were written with far more humour than that.

The ending is so worth staying awake for though. Kevin Klein is just fantastic in this.

He really is. I didn't really care about Bottom before but Kevin Kline made me actually quite fond of him. :)
