Jan. 8th, 2007 12:15 amI want to go check my post. Considering this involves changing clothes, going down four flights of stairs, a three minute walk out in the dark/rain and then explaining to porters-who-may-not-be-there why I'm checking my post at gone midnight out of sheer needing to leave my room...
Yeah, I know. But the same four walls are the same four walls, no matter how many posters you cover them in and I've been staring at them all day. I need to do *something*.
And when I get back and I've done my washing up, maybe I'll keep writing Hustle fic. Because I'm not in the least bit tired and am dying for a cup of tea, so sleep doesn't seem to be on the horizon anytime soon.
edit: Checked post, have post, no porter there to collect it from. No of rabbits spotted during three minute walk - three. Clearly they've been hiding during the day. Washing up, done. Cleaned entire kitchen out of sheer frustration with the mess the freshers' christmas decorations made (cheap spray on snow that crumbles to power over everything? Yeah, wish they'd asked us before that one). Now sitting here with an entire pot of tea, debating how to make myself focus on fic. Only knowing that going in and out the door so much will wake everyone up is stopping me from going down to the laundrette to wash now instead of in the morning.
One of Those Nights. Definitely.
