Windows Explorer currently does not like me at all. And I have no idea why, although having it repeatedly close on me is getting less and less fun. Which considering it wasn't fun the first time, is almost impressive.
I am not, in any way, amused.
edit: Last hope of system restore to before I updated Media Player seemed to have worked for all of thirty seconds... until it didn't. Jesus. I cannot have a computer that refuses to have Windows Explorer open for more than a minute. It's just not feasible. Although oddly enough it is working better after the restore -- faster, takes seemingly longer to crash -- and so far it's being oddly specific about the folders it chooses to crash. Namely, the ones with lots of great big video and audio files.
I mean, it's still perfectly okay to actually get to files and open them, so at least that's fine... it's just goddamn irritating. And I still think it's Media Player's stupid fault. Somehow.
edit Make that seemingly just video files, since the music folder is at least working. It's just my 92+ GB watchables folder that's refusing to stay open for any length of time. Hhhmm. Possibly a rearrange? I don't know. Honestly. Computers.
Anyway, that's for morning since screwing around with technology at 5am is insane. There will be enraged poking of the computer come tomorrow I expect. Probably with much backing-up-to-DVD of things.
Still. Not. Amused.
