Dear Amazon,
NO COOKIES FOR YOU.
No love,
Clo
Thought it might be nice to catch up with some of my favourite children's books so I hopped on over to Amazon marketplace (since it's rare to find my favourite children's books in print now which is terrible -- those books were what made me read as a kid, so why can't they be kept on offer to kids now? Just because there're countless superb children's books out in the last few years, it doesn't mean the old ones should be forgotten.) After spending more money than I meant to on most of The Animals of Farthing Wood series, checked out my recent orders on a whim before closing the window -- and had, in big, emergency red letters, beside each one, "payment revision needed."
Which reminded me that I hadn't updated my debit card info since it expired a few weeks ago. Figured fine, not a problem and went to add the new card info. Only for Amazon to make me do it over and over for each order and then sometimes twice because they were "working on revising a problem". Ten minutes later, it finally looks fine but now I'm paranoid there'll be all kinds of problems.
However, kind people providing me with Robin Hood have made my day one of shiny. Not even the galeforce winds outside (we're on the side of the country catching the 70-80mph gusts and I'm genuinely waiting for my window to blow in or the roof to fall off) can dampen the awesome that is people giving me stuff I missed *the morning after*. I love people sometimes.
Only, the question now is... do I watch it now? or do I save it to watch over dinner tonight?
...
Mmmmm.
