Dude, the US Open is having shite weather this year. I knew there'd be payback for having an almost-rain-free Wimbledon.

[livejournal.com profile] squishy_monkey brought his computer geniusness over earlier to look at the broken computer and concluded that Windows is utterly useless. Says it's definitely fixable thought which is shiny and system restore suggests it wasn't me with my Crusade for a Faster Computer that did it. What did do it and what it is... anyway, still working on it. Which reminds me I have to poke [livejournal.com profile] hill2k tomorrow to organise get-together Thursday. *writes a post-it*

Nothing much else to report, other than I ordered a new pair of glasses today while blushing everytime the Mario Ancic lookalike who works in Specsavers walked past. There was various complications and the annoying persuasive woman talked me into spending an extra £60 (I walked out the door, paused, and went "... WTF DID I JUST AGREE TO?!") Stupid annoyingly persuasive optician lady. It's not even like it was the Lookalike so I could've at least claimed an overload of cute. Sigh. Anyway, new glasses soon. Green. A whole load of nifty -- expensive -- extra things done to the lenses. I am so not allowed a new pair for the next ten years.

My life? Could not be more dull right now.

Especially since we've had almost no rain this summer until last week! Seriously! Other than a bad storm back in July...

I think there are evil rain pixies who hate tennis, because it's as if the rain waits *specifically* for the most disruptive moments. It's weird.

Pixies. *nods* Definitely.

Would it add any extra excitement to learn that Tristan sleeps with the teddy bear you sent him almost every time he goes to sleep? And if he stirs. he won't go back to sleep without it?

That *definitely* adds more excitement. (Not that I just squeeed like crazy. Um.) I looked everywhere for the perfect one, because I had one particular one I was attached to when I was little and it so awesome to have that special teddy. :D

Aw. Now you've made me feel all warm and fuzzy.
