Hugely amused at the f_w report on the wankcry over Heath Ledger bringing the "Brokeback Mountain Gay" to Batman. Aside from the whole other side of bogglement issues which f_w are going into much better than me, um, people? I watched the original 1960s movie version just a few days ago and "Teh Gay"? Has been *canon* for a very long time. Watching Batman Begins a few nights ago, my mother -- who, on me trying in a desperate last-ditch effort to get her to take me to see Brokeback Mountain a few months back, looked uncomfortable and said "I don't really want to watch gay cowboys" -- made a crack about Batman/Robin being canon. It just is. Where've you *been* the last few decades?
f_w also pointed out how much better Eccleston would've been in the part and I had woe, because -- as usual -- they're right. So *much* better. What the hell possessed them to think Ledger's the best choice? Because really, I'm still coming up with nothing.
... I need Batman icons.
