And in Wimbledon news, if Roger plays Rafa in the final on Sunday? I'll kill myself.*

*No, not really. You may all wish I had however when I bitch at great length and spend all of Sunday freaking loudly quietly loudly over Roger. I love the poncey little git to pieces and if he has a mental breakdown because Rafa beat him at Wimbledon? I will bitch. Forever. Eternally. At great, exhaustive length. At everyone, the world and at their pet rabbit Binky.

No one messes with Roger. He may be a poncey little git but he's my poncey litte git and if it takes me personally beating up Rafael Nadal? I WILL DO IT. Hell, he's eight months younger than me. I could take him in a rugby tackle.

On the other hand, I don't want Rafa to get to the final, because I don't want him losing to Roger, I like him having the mental edge in readyness for hard ;)

See, even people who like Rafa winning don't want him in the final. He needs to just lose in some no-shame-yet-convincing defeat to Baghdatis. :) And just wait. :p My poncey little git almost managed to keep up with him on his least favourite surface of clay, on hard the results'll be looking quite bit different. *crosses fingers*

Well yes. Especially when everyone was running around last week yelling about how he wasn't going to get anywhere in this year's Wimbledon, but if I was worried about Roger after the RG final? I'll be damn well having kittens over Rafa playing him on Sunday. People write Roger off as being so overconfident and smug but if he ends up in a padded room wearing a straight jacket because Rafa beat him at his favourite Slam *ever*, then that might be a little harder to argue. ;-)

I just love that he's a fighter. On the other hand, Roger winning Wimbledon again will make me happy. But I like Rafa's mental edge because almighty God Federer pisses me off. If this can begin a real rivalry, it'd be awesome.

Exactly, and Rafa's proved that he can play and win on grass. He's even going to the net! I honestly don't think Roger has anything to worry about if Rafa gets to the final. Rafa's good, but good enough yet to beat Roger on grass? No.

Hard courts will be exciting though :)

*waves hand* You know how Roger is not close to beingmy favourite player? If Rafa gts to the final I will cry like a baby because he just can't. He's not allowed to win Wimbledon, not with his game, it's bad for tennis in general if he wins because it shows how slow the courts have gotten and how it's not really grass anymore, it's fucking true bouncing, and grass shouldn't be like that, it shouldn't have true bounce, it shoud be low, and fast and it's just not anymore. Andy's right, they have slowed the courts down. They're just pretty much hard courts now and what's the point of having a grass season if it plays just like a hard court?

That's a so much better reason than my worrying over Roger's mental state. Grass is meant to be *grass*, half the point of the tour is that it's on different surfaces. The tennis I've seen at Wimbledon this year hasn't been anything like as exciting as I remember it being years ago because it *is* slower. Why did they need to slow the courts down anyway? If players were having trouble with it, then surely that's the *point*? Grass is more interesting than clay because it's faster; if they take that away then exactly, what's the point of having a grass season at all?

*pets* It's okay. It's a good rant. (What time are you leaving tonight? I got asked told to go to bed last night for keeping the'rents awake but I'm still working on Andy/Mardy. >_< See if I can get *something* done for you.)

I don't know, I have a feeling that if Rafa makes it to the final, it won't be what people expect it to be. I don't know why I think that but I do.
