Jun. 17th, 2006 02:40 amToo hot to sleep, dammit, so I'm revisting my childhood in search of any Silver Brumby links I can find. There was a *film*. With *Russell Crowe*. How did I not know of this possible travesty?
Have desperate urge to go on an Amazon buying spree of all the children's horse books I loved. They have *Flambards*. Must. Resist. Unfortunately -- fortunately? -- all the Silver Brumby series seems to be out of print or barely obtainable, so I couldn't replace my tattered copies even if I had the money.
Times like this, I seriously start to contemplate breaking my 'No Ebay' rule.

XD) There was a narration rather than a horse dialogue, which I liked more than them trying to go for the whole corny Hollywood talking horse thing, because there was also an animated movie that went that road and sucked horribly.
They offer brumby tours up in the Snowys - am ever so tempted to go. >.<

I think there was an animated series over here that did the horse dialogue thing too and it was terrible, though I still ran home from school everyday to see it because it was another Silver Brumby fix. I cried woe when I saw the movie poster though because Thowra wasn't a palomino! Was he? I've been imagining a white horse for years, so I had rage at them ruining that. ;)
And that just *definitely* got added to my list of things to do when I final get over there. Because wow.
