X-MEN3OMG. Have not the energy for a proper review-y squee-y post -- and can't be bothered anyway since I think I'll do it for my uni blog to get back into it -- but it didn't half go by quick, though I knew it was shorter than I'd expected going in. I also completely forgot what [livejournal.com profile] e_goddess said about waiting until after the credits and now I'm itching to know what I missed. What'd I miss?! Will give cookies to anyone who can tell me.

Jean's hair also makes me want to grow my hair long again. And dye it redder. Mmmm. Am seriously tempted.

Oh, there was one thing though. They broke a major rule of structuring and it pissed me off because it was such a fantastic idea. In the early part of the movie, in the Professor's class when he was talking about the ethics of putting someone else's mind into the brain-dead man? The *moment* he "died" -- got disintegrated into tiny little cubes, whatever -- I went "AH!" thinking it had all been foreshadowing and as a final act of apology for cubing all those people, Jean was going to reveal that a-ha! she'd had his mind safe all along and would stick in into brain-dead guy and it'd be a not-Patrick-Steward-Professor X (crossed my mind this'd also be helpful if PS didn't want to do the fourth movie they SO SET UP AT THE END.) And then it all... didn't happen. Gun on the wall in act one but no one got shot with it in the third, so to speak and it was all a red herring and you BAD PEOPLE for misleading me in such an irritating way. Because it was irritating, not good story-telling regardless of what they'll insist while dancing around squeeing "fooled you!" Curses.

One more thing: ALL THOSE MUTANTS AND YOU COULDN'T GET GAMBIT IN THERE? ANYWHERE? Damn yous.

Doctor Who soon and my biggest dilemma of the next hour is whether I should make dinner, read a book or watch TV. Mmm. My life is with the good right now.

edit: Oh and oh god, Vinnie Jones. What is there to say except WTF?

SPOILER ALERT!!!

DON'T READ THIS COMMENT IF YOU DON'T REALLY WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED AFTER THE CREDITS!

Well, if you had stayed until after the credits, you would have seen Moira once again standing over the brain-dead man's bedside. After checking his chart, she turned away, only to be stopped by an all-too-familiar voice weakly calling her name.

See, you were on the right track all along! (People in the theater SCREAMED at the scene, as in screamed at the top of their lungs screamed. It was fabulous.)

I too mourn the lacking of Gambit.

AHHH! I knew it was too good an idea to simply ignore! But it's bad that it wasn't in the film itself; it would've been awesome! And I think everyone else left when I did so we all would have missed it (in fact my local cinema has a habit of turning off the credits halfway through, so they might not even have shown it). It might have been hard to fit it in with everything else I guess but still, the way people in your theater reacted proves it would've been worth it. :) I'm just happy they didn't waste the set-up though. :D

So many mutants and yet the possibly-coolest-one-ever not there. *mourns some more* It makes me want a fourth one, just to get him in there somewhere.

I loved Jean's hair. I want that color. I'm seriously considering highlights now.

I had no idea there was something after the credits! Aw, I wish I had stayed.

Me too. It was *gorgeous*. I'm thinking that I'm going to be hennaing my hair red again this week.

I wouldn't have if [livejournal.com profile] e_goddess hadn't said and I still forgot to stay. I wish there was some sort of reminder to make you wait, especially for something as big as this.
