Just talked to my brother and apparently he and his girlfriend bought their pgymy hedgehog today. Whether or not this makes him a complete nutter or just the coolest sibling ever remains to be seen but he's promised to send me a picture so I'll post it when he does. I mean, *pygmy* *hedgehog*. If you asked me to name a really weird pet, that's so weird it wouldn't even ocur to me. It's not going to stop there either; he was talking about chameleons, lizards, chipmunks, a *dog*. I encouraged the chipmunks because I adore them and it's going to be forever until I have a place big enough -- and enough money -- to get my own. I also kind of got the impression that I'll be the one they call when they want a pet sitter for a weekend, though I told him I'd refuse to enter the house if he got anything resembling a spider. Everything else I can deal with but spiders as pets? No. Hairy and creepy and if they get out of their tank, ohmygod, beyond freakiness with the thought of a large, *poisonous* spider roaming the house freely. I'm drawing a line right *there*.

Seeing Cats last night made me want another cat for a pet though, because there'd be twice as much for me to cuddle. There's nothing quite like a group of highly athletic, beautiful people dressed in indescribly fantastic cat costumes to make you appreciate just how very cool cats are. The guy playing Rum Tum Tugger stole the show (perhaps partly because of some dance moves that almost certainly should've had an '18' rating attached to them. ;) ) and made me squee by dancing arm in arm with Mr. Mistoffelees and being generally hero-worshipful towards him to the point of adorableness. I wish the website had the cast list up, because we couldn't decide if he was American or not and didn't manage to buy a program, so we can't find out. They did 'Macavity' spectaculary, which would have been enough to make me happy but my second favourite '...Mr. Mistoffelees' went pretty well too and 'Memory' got cheers.

It was Munkustrap I wanted to take home with me though. So very *pretty*. I'm such a whore for the grey tabby. ^_^

It's touring the UK right now and is definitely worth going to see so if you can get to a showing, go. If I hadn't worked out that I was already going to be spending £140+ on train tickets in the next month, I'd be going to see it again in Cardiff but I got my student loan for the next term today, all shiny and expensive and pretty and what with train tickets and Wimbledon and buying a digital camera I can feel it running through my fingers as if it wasn't there. I need a job this summer. Really, really need, especially since buying Spirited Away when I'm supposed to be saving money is a very stupid thing to do, bad Clo. Only it was cheap and tempting. Woe.

Going to make dinner now since I'd forgotten I haven't eaten. o_O Mmmm. Possibly I'll be up late tonight.

I can't think of anything better than a house of cats 'when I grow up'.
